๐ Please reference you found the job on Remote OK, this helps us get more companies to post here, thanks!
When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy equipment which they then pay you back for later. Also never pay for trainings you have to do. Those are scams! NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. A good idea is to check the domain name for the site/email and see if it's the actual company's main domain name. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! Read more to avoid scams. When clicking on the button to apply above, you will leave Remote OK and go to the job application page for that company outside this site. \nAbout Us:\n\nAfter witnessing several family members and friends battle cancer, Flatiron Health was founded in 2012 by Nat Turner and Zach Weinberg. \nAbout Us:\n\nAfter witnessing several family members and friends battle cancer, Flatiron Health was founded in 2012 by Nat Turner and Zach Weinberg. Headquartered in New York City, our company is building a disruptive software platform that connects cancer centers across the country to help change the face of cancer.\n\nWe recently raised $130MM in series B funding from Google Ventures, the second largest investment ever from Google Ventures, behind Uber. \n\nOur mission is to organize the world’s oncology information and make it useful for patients, physicians, life sciences and researchers. Our team is building a disruptive, oncology-specific software platform that will connect cancer centers across the country on a common technology infrastructure and address key healthcare challenges. Today, our proprietary cloud platform includes the industry-leading electronic medical record for oncology, a first-of-its-kind analytics tool, patient portal, and integrated billing management. Ultimately, our goal is to help cancer centers leverage real-world oncology data, at a scale and clinical depth never before seen, to transform how cancer care is delivered.\n\nAbout You:\n\nThis position primarily focuses on products and services for OncoEMR, our web-based, oncology-specific electronic medical record (EMR) system used by over 1,300 oncology clinicians every day to diagnose, treat and manage patients battling cancer.\n\nThe Software Engineer (.NET) position will play a critical role in the full life cycle of our Oncology EMR - from design and development through ongoing maintenance. With limited supervision, you will assist in formulating/defining system scope and objectives through discussions, research, and trial and error to develop and refine information systems for use by all levels of the medical staff. We maintain a Rapid Application Development environment. If you build a well crafted new feature today, you can observe it in use next week.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n* Be a full-stack developer fluent in VB.NET, ASP.NET, HTML, Javascript, jQuery, CSS, and T-SQL; integrate open-source and 3rd-party libraries, controls, and solutions into a web application.\n\n* Track the performance of all the components you write, including execution times and memory usage on clients and servers in multithreaded concurrent-user production environments; master application server and SQL query optimization.\n\n* Maintain and help support the code base. You won’t be throwing your code over the fence for others to debug, maintain, and support. It’s yours for the duration. All of our engineers are on call for a few hours each week providing a technical resource for the Support department.\n\n* Stay focused, productive, and engaged in a remote environment.\n\n\n\n\nRequirements:\n\n\n* Have extensive experience with the tools and technology used to develop and deploy web-based applications in the Microsoft environment, including IIS, Visual Studio 2012, ASP.Net, and VB.Net\n\n* 3+ years of experience writing rich-client web applications using Javascript, jQuery, or other client-side scripting frameworks\n\n* Be an expert in writing, tuning and troubleshooting MS SQL queries\n\n* Proven ability to work individually or as part of a team to solve technical problems\n\n* Excellent written and verbal communication skills\n\n* Self-motivated, self starters\n\n\n\n\nBonus Points:\n\n\n* Previous experience working in the Healthcare industry\n\n* Previous experience working in a VLDB environment\n\n* Previous experience working remotely\n\n* Familiarity with modern programming frameworks, models, and architectural patterns such as Agile/Scrum\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
