This role could be a full time or freelance opportunity for the right candidate. The Web Developer will work in a Wordpress environment to build event-based websites, for the most part, but there are a variety of different projects that this person will work on (e.g. small business websites, website redesigns, etc.). Our expectation isn't that candidates know every technology, but we do expect eagerness to learn new skills and have what it takes to get things done. Candidates should not be afraid to fail, learn fast, and be able to move forward with confidence. Please submit a digital portfolio in addition to your application to be considered.\n\n\nSuccessful candidates will have the following:\n\n\n\n* Strong knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP\n\n* Experience implementing third-party API integrations (preferably in a WordPress environment)\n\n* Excellent communication skills and desire to work with internal and external teams\n\n* Passion for collaboration\n\n* Flexibility and a "get it done" mentality\n\n* Strong learner's spirit and eagerness to learn technologies for new problems\n\n\n\n\n\nIf would be great if you have the following (but these are not required):\n\n\n\n* 3+ years of experience in web development\n\n* Strong proficiency in WordPress CMS, WP file structure, custom post types/taxonomies with WordPress codex familiarity\n\n* Familiarity with MySQL, CSS preprocessors, and other programming languages\n\n* Experience with task automation (gulp/grunt) and version control (GitHub)\n\n* Proficiency in WordPress multisite\n\n* Experience implementing Google Analytics goal setting and event tracking\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat you would be doing at Unbridled:\n\n\n\n* Create and develop creative WordPress-based technology solutions for client accounts and internal web projects\n\n* Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins and extend existing themes and plugins as needed\n\n* Troubleshoot and debug plugin compatibility issues, working with vendor support teams as needed\n\n* Manage and maintain existing web hosting environment for Unbridled's customer and internal websites\n\n* Monitor uptime and performance, resolve any downtime or performance issues, help develop performance metrics and reporting\n\n* Serve as tech support for all live WordPress websites in Unbridled's web hosting environment\n\n* Perform regular WordPress site maintenance including systemic updating of WordPress core files, plugins, and themes via a MainWP interface\n\n* Embody the Unbridled brand and culture, including: character, change, credibility, and community\n\n\n\n\n\nComprehensive Benefits Package: \n\n\nUnbridled provides a comprehensive benefits package to all Unbridled employees, as well as other perks and work-life integration.
