You primary areas of work will be:\n\n* Building and maintaining external integrations with partners through different communication protocols - REST / SOAP etc …\n\n* Integrations with Zapier\n\n* Working on queue management back-end solutions helping these integrations to operate properly\n\n* Working on developing back-end modules / services part of the whole product infrastructure\n\n* Working with databases with millions of records and hundreds of thousands of requests per day.\n\n* You are going to get involved into continuous integration processes, different branching models for version control and strict coding standards.\n\n* Work on highly scalable cloud infrastructure including multiple instances connected by load balancers for traffic distribution\n\n\n\nTO BE A BEST FIT FOR THIS JOB YOU NEED TO:\n\n\n* You need to be an expert in PHP at least 5+ years. Expert means that you have solid experience in building web based applications with high level of abstraction\n\n* You need to be an expert in External API Integrations and have a quick understanding how an integration can be done - REST / SOAP\n\n* You have a good experience in MVC frameworks\n\n* You have a good experience with Symfony Framework\n\n* You have a good experience of building DDD oriented architecture\n\n* You have a solid experience in code optimization and performance improvements\n\n* You know how the core of MySQL is working, make decisions about the storage engines, database structure and scalability of the database\n\n* You know how to optimize database performance\n\n* You can solve complex bugs often quite quickly\n\n* You always document your code on a good level\n\n* You have a basic understanding of any Javascript Framework but preferably React\n\n* You have a good understanding and experience with MongoDB or other noSQL databases\n\n* You know what is continous integration and how it works\n\n* Experience or knowledge how Amazon services like EC2, RDS, CloudFront work is a plus\n\n\n\n\nTo apply for this job:\n\nPlease answer the two questions below and email to [email protected] . We are looking for an outstanding, highly motivated Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our team in either Palo Alto, CA or NYC (SOHO). The majority of the work is LAMP stack build on AWS.\n\nThe ideal profile is someone who has experience building large-scale web sites and enjoys collaborating with small-sized teams. You can write high quality code, have excellent communication skills, love solving complex problems, and are also looking to provide a voice in product design and direction.\n\nDesired skills & expertise:\n- Must be experienced with MySQL and NoSQL systems. Ideally, will have experience with most Amazon Web Services tools.\n- Ability to write modular / MVC / high-quality code (PHP and JS primarily).\n- 3+ years of experience in design & development of commercial web applications. Experience in design implementation of large scale, high traffic consumer-facing portals is a huge plus.\n- Knowing the trade off between server side performance and features. Having the ability to come up with innovative solutions to scalability and performance problems.\n- Strong Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms).\n- Experience with the LAMP stack, particularly PHP5.\n- Experience with jQuery (bonus for AngularJS experience).\n- Strong understanding of queueing technologies and strategies for large-scale systems.\n- Familiarity with caching strategies and experience with platforms like Redis.\n- Experience in building or working on a metrics / analytics / business intelligence systems.\n- Experience in object oriented (OO) design & programming.\n- Creative thinker who thrives in a small-team environment.\n- Passion for improving the Healthcare industry is a plus.\n- Extra bonus if you have familiar with EMR integration (electronic medical records). \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
