Work with our growing web engineering team as you construct web apps from the ground up.\n\nDuring your time as a Bushel Web Engineer, you’ll be working alongside the pack of wickedly slick Bushel Web Engineers. Together, you’ll work to design and develop front and backend web applications. You’ll be expanding your skill set by working alongside cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. As a Bushel Web Engineer, you’ll be writing automated unit and integration tests to ensure code robustness, usability, and reliability. Our main stack is PHP 7, Laravel 5, Kotlin/Java, MySQL, and ReactJS with deployment assistance from Docker and Kubernetes. We are also transitioning parts of our work from PHP to a Java/Spring service architecture.\n\nAs a Senior Web Engineer, you will be expected to participate in architectural discussions, help with estimations, lead large projects with multiple developers from an architectural and development perspective, and be proficient in multiple development stacks and/or platforms. You must also be tenacious in helping with new developer on-boarding and training, as well as leading efficiency improvements and automation for your development team. You will be willing to improve the code quality of colleagues through code reviews and constructive feedback. As a Bushel teammate, you’ll be an active and self-motivated learner.\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n\n* Lead development and software engineering efforts for web applications\n\n* Attend design and architecture meetings and assist in project projections and hours\n\n* Communicate improvement ideas, needs, and concerns\n\n* Ability to quickly analyze and fix issues across multiple platforms\n\n* Java, Spring and Linux experience is required\n\n* Extensive experience in Microservices, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), n-Tiered Architectures, Event-Driven, Event Sourcing, MVC/MVVM, Dependency Injection, distributed systems\n\n* Demonstrated team leadership experience in a professional setting\n\n* Experience with REST(ful), SOAP, HATEOAS, OData, or GraphQL APIs.\n\n* Worked with: OpenID, SAML, or Oauth authentication standards.\n\n* Events: Apache Kafka, Apache Pulsar, Akka, Pub/Sub, AMQP\n\n* Process: Agile, Scrum, Lean\n\n* Tools: JIRA, Confluence, IntelliJ, Visual Studio\n\n* Testing: Test-driven development (TDD), Behavior-driven development (BDD), Gherkin, Spek, JUnit, PHPUnit, Codeception\n\n* Integration: Apache Camel, Apache Airflow, Apache NiFi, MuleSoft, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), WSO2, Dell Boomi, Spring Integration\n\n* Cloud: Google Cloud (CGP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure\n\n* Containers: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm\n\n* Logging/Metrics: ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK Stack), Grafana, Prometheus, Fluentd, Statsd, syslog-ng, Micrometer, Instrumentation\n\n* Development: Java/Kotlin, .NET, Spring, Spring Boot, PHP, Bash, Git, Version Control\n\n* Persistence/cache/search: MySQL, MariaDB, CockroachDB, Postgres, MongoDB, SQL, NoSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, Infinispan, Hazelcast, Lucene/Solr\n\nCI/CD: Jenkins, Github Actions, Gitlab, Bamboo, Cruise Control, Build Pipelines, Deployment Pipelines, Travis CI\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
