We are looking for people who are passionate about software and open-source projects and creating robust andreusablee software. \n\n\n\nResponsibilities \n* Architect, develop, debug, optimize, review, and test software for Linux-embedded platforms\n* Leverage multiple open-source projects to expand Linux systems' capabilities\n* Develop new and maintain existing features for custom-embedded Linux boards\n* Build Custom Linux distribution based on the manufacturer's Board Support Packages\n* Contribute to all phases of the software development cycle including prototyping, requirements capture, design, implementation, and validation\n\n\n\nQualifications\n* Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer sciences, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience\n* 5+ years of previous development experience on Linux\n* Experience developing native user mode applications is required\n* C99 programming experience\n* Experience in Bash and Python scripting\n* Experience debugging complex problems or remote systems\n\n\n\nBonus Qualifications\n* Linux kernel. Experience, in controlling hardware from the kernel\n* Experience with Yocto or other embedded Linux build frameworks\n* Experience with Security: certificates, PKI, encryption/signing algorithms\n* C++ 14 experience\n* Exposure to STL and Boost is highly desirable \n\n\n\n\n\nCompensation\nThere are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $165,000 to $215,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
