Show us your code :-)\n\n## JOB DESCRIPTION\n\nAs a Senior Full-Stack Developer, the ideal candidate will have designed, developed, unit tested, implemented and documented solutions that include not only the code to support business functionality, but also the underlying infrastructure required to run that code and the systems required to deploy it. The candidate should possess technical skills and experience with Amazon Web Services. The preferred candidate also should have knowledge and experience with test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery systems. \n\n## RESPONSIBILITIES\n\n* Hands-on application lead with responsibility for development and technical architecture\n* Follow AWS best practices for software architecture, development, and delivery\n* Design, test, document, build and support scalable, efficient, reusable, reliable, and maintainable PHP code \n* Identify bottlenecks and technical debt; devise solutions to solve these problems\n* Ensure application scalability, security, and performance\n\n## QUALIFICATIONS\n\n* Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, CloudFormation, Lambda); possess an understanding of core AWS services, uses, and basic AWS architecture best practices (including security and scalability)\n* Strong background in web technologies, including a solid understanding of web application architectures, algorithms, data structures, how distributed systems fail, and software engineering principles\n* Experience and appreciation for automated testing and CI\n* Experience with unit testing and TDD principles; experience with Git/Bitbucket\n* Experience with MySQL relational databases\n\n## REQUIREMENTS\n\n* BS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent industry experience\n* 5+ years of experience as a full-stack developer\n* 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS core services\n* Self-starter, highly motivated and works with little or no supervision\n\n## ABOUT US\n\nWe are a private equity-backed (Osceola Capital) platform company in the digital media space. \n\nWe own and operate a portfolio of high quality, high consumer intent insurance/financial services websites (CarInsuranceComparison.com, AutoInsurance.org, many others). \nThis is a 100% remote position. We prefer to hire people from Europe and Asia because of team collaboration, all of our current dev team is in Asia or Europe and so it is unlikely (although not impossible) that we will hire in north or south america.\n\n You will be working from home with mostly flexible hours although you will need to attend the team meeting which is at approximately 8:30am GMT and to work for 3 hours after this time for team collaboration (This is 3:30am to 6:30am New York time, so you can see that’s the reason we are not likely to hire in north, central or south america).\n\nWHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR\n\nYou will be working in a team of around 10 other developers. You primary areas of work will be:\n\n* Building and maintaining external integrations with partners through different communication protocols - REST / SOAP etc …\n\n* Integrations with Zapier\n\n* Working on queue management back-end solutions helping these integrations to operate properly\n\n* Working on developing back-end modules / services part of the whole product infrastructure\n\n* Working with databases with millions of records and hundreds of thousands of requests per day.\n\n* You are going to get involved into continuous integration processes, different branching models for version control and strict coding standards.\n\n* Work on highly scalable cloud infrastructure including multiple instances connected by load balancers for traffic distribution\n\n\n\nTO BE A BEST FIT FOR THIS JOB YOU NEED TO:\n\n\n* be an expert in PHP at least 5+ years.
