CAI is seeking an AWS Lead who will work remote during the pandemic.\n\n* The AWS Lead is responsible for overseeing the development, and technology integration, of all customer-facing web-based projects.\n\n* This role will lead technology teams across all stages of Agile delivery while collaborating with the Applications team, Mobile App team, and Marketing. \n\n* Hands on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is highly desired for this role.\n\n* There is no direct reports, but will guide different technology teams.\n\n* Our client has locations in Dearborn, MI; Chicago, IL; and Charlotte, NC. \n\n* Due to our end Client, candidates must be hirable without the need of sponsorship now or in the future.\n\n\n\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\n\n\n* Lead web-based initiatives on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform, and Java Set technical direction for development team, lead the release of core products, and work with team to maintain knowledge management system for development tools and software documentation\n\n* Proactively assess current processes, identify technology improvements, and develop solutions that meet the short and long term goals of the organization\n\n* Supervise technical expertise of in-house and external resources Coordinate activities with third party technology partners.\n\n* Interact with the Customer Experience and Marketing teams Support our client's lines of business\n\n* Estimate time frames, quality, and quantity of resources required to successfully implement project\n\n* Troubleshoot functional application issues to determine root cause Independently handle personnel issues, conflict management, define goals that increase knowledge and skills of team, and define team’s expectations\n\n* No direct reports, but will guide different technology teams\n\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\nExperience/Education Required Skills\n\n\n* Required Hands on experience with emerging presentation layer frameworks and patterns such ReactJS, Backbone, AngulaJS, or similar Javascript libraries to design responsive user interfaces REST service development and methodologies\n\n* Understanding the software development lifecycle in Agile and/or DevOps Strong familiarity with source code control systems (Subversion, GIT)\n\n* Strong familiarity with common design patterns used in web applications Background in web application development using enterprise grade technologies and frameworks Knowledge of profiling techniques, memory management and performance tuning utilized to result in elegant and fast-loading web experiences Ability to enforce practices like test-driven development, Continuous Integration, and Test Automation Understanding of common web application security best practices Ability to communicate value propositions\n\n* Ability to convert business requirements into detailed systems design and technical specifications\n\n* Strong-communication and conflict resolution skills\n\n* High level of self-motivation and initiative\n\n* Ability to prioritize multiple work streams and responsibilities simultaneously\n\n* 5+ years' hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services\n\n* 5+ years' hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, CSS and HTML including cross-browser compatibility\n\n* Experience leading eCommerce platform integrations with various internal and external systems/services\n\n* Hands on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is highly desire\n\n* Education Required A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or in the alternative a combination of education, certifications and work experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.\n\n\n\n\n\n Physical Demands\n\n\n* Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards\n\n* Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.\n\n* Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor If you are interested in this position\n\n* Please apply using the "Apply " option. \nJob Description\n\nProvides technical support for all application delivery platforms including builds and continuous integration, routine application maintenance and upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting and capacity planning, business continuity and disaster recovery.\n\nThe position is expected to spend approximately 50% time on Configuration Management, 30% on Java/HTML/CSS/SQL and/or test/script development and 20% on Linux System Administration. Duties may vary over time and project.\n\nPurpose \n\nThe DevOps Lead is primarily responsible for maintaining the application environments and configurations supporting reliable, secure and responsive application delivery and support to internal and external customers.\n\n The DevOps Lead is a mid-to-senior position that requires expertise and experience in the following areas: \n\n\n* Configuration Management, managing and documenting hardware and software configurations across development and production environments to reliably and securely deliver applications to internal and external customers, in audited transaction environments, including maintaining a SOC2 attestation and often collaborating with internal, customer, partner, vendor and contracted resources.  Build management and automation, assistance in troubleshooting build and automated testing failures.\n\n* Java/HTML5/CSS/SQL/Web Services application operations and development.  Experience in Object Oriented development and web and application server administration support, including connections to other systems (e.g. web services, databases, monitors, etc.) is expected.\n\n* Linux system administration in a Windows- and Macintosh-client networked environment on a hybrid cloud built around Amazon Web Services and internal servers using Virtual Private Cloud solutions.  This includes systems administration for patches, monitoring, disaster recovery, failover, security, etc. \n\n\n\n\nJob Responsibilities\n\nAdministration, maintenance and management of production and development environments, supporting Affiliation Management, Premium Capture, AAISdirect, AAISonline, SDMA, Hadoop, Pentaho, the AAIS Underwriting Platform (UP) and others as directed to meet service level agreements and audit (SOC2) requirements.\n\nTasks include:\n\n\n* Software configuration management and the successful installation of new software releases and system upgrades.\n\n* Evaluation and installation of patches, resolve software related problems on server platforms primarily hosted by Amazon Web Services.\n\n* Implement security policies and configurations for hardware and software resources.\n\n* Maintain network, server, application and transaction monitors with reporting and issue response protocols.\n\n* Supports SSAE16 compliance for Customer Engagement systems.\n\n* Maintenance and enhancements for Java/HTML5/CSS operational applications.\n\n* SQL to extract data for reporting and business insights.\n\n* Unit, integration and automated test development for quality assurance, build reliability and system performance.\n\n* Maintenance and enhancement of continuous integration environment to support agile development process.\n\n* Securing and protecting customer data and managing ongoing risk of compromise and intrusion.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to DevOps, Java, CSS, HTML, Executive, Amazon, Cloud and Linux jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $120,000/year\n
