The Amazon Game Services Solutions Architecture team is hiring!\n \nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of Amazon's Game Services (including AWS for storage, compute, analytics, data warehousing, application hosting and scaling, disaster recovery and backup and many more). In collaboration with our technology and business teams, you will drive growth across a broad set of customers. You will interact with established yet very fast moving customers eager to adopt AWS for their biggest games within a very short time frame. You will posses customer facing skills that allow you to represent Amazon well within a customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, and risk management. Your ability to connect technology with measurable business value will be critical in the solutions architect role. The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a senior engineer on a game team. You have deep experience with gameplay systems, middleware, game engines, and development tools.You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so that you can make strong contributions to architecture discussions. You regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world class solutions built on AWS game technologies.\n \nRoles and Responsibilities:\n* As a key member of the business development team, ensure success in building and migrating games and entertainment apps with Amazon and AWS technology.\n* Educate customers of all size on the value proposition of our services, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment on our devices and in the cloud.\n* Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer deep technical skills to customers considering or using Amazon's game services.\n* Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solution architect community\n* In collaboration with business development, you will drive adoption across a broad set of customers\n* Author or otherwise contribute to customer-facing publications such as whitepapers\n* Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customer accounts to enable them to be our advocates\n* Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support\n\n\n\n* 5+ years game development experience, with deep experience in one or more of the following areas:\n o Software design or development\n o Infrastructure architecture\n o 3D rendering\n o Game physics\n o Gameplay scripting\n o Database architecture\n o Multiplayer networking\n o Game backend technology\no Asset pipelines\no Performance tuning and optimization\n\n\n* Working knowledge of development methodologies with one or more of the following languages: C++, .NET, Lua, Java\n* Strong written communication skills; this role will require the creation of content such as whitepapers and other written deliverables\n* High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations\n* The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect\n* Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly\n\n\n\n* Experience with both console and mobile games\n* Experience with off-the-shelf game engines such as Unity, Unreal, or CryEngine\n* Experience with industry standard tools and middleware, such as Maya, 3DSMax, Havok, Scaleform, etc\n* Professional experience architecting systems built with Amazon Web Services\n* Professional experience operating systems built with Amazon Web Services\n* Technical degree: Computer Science background highly desired\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
