We give employees the opportunity to develop their skills and do their best work.\n\nMetters has an immediate (remote or on customer site) opening for a Ruby on Rails Developer to support our DHS USCIS client in a rapid web application development project utilizing leading-edge technologies. The objective of software/Web development support is to provide comprehensive life cycle software product development for a variety of Web-based applications. New generation software development and engineering shall be in compliance with standards as identified by the Government.\n\nRoles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:\n\n• Provide consultation and development support services for engaging in mobile first \n development including Ruby on Rails, HTML5, Cascading Style Sheets, Responsive Web Design, \n Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous \n Delivery, and agile development practices\n\n• Analyze software requirements and provide solutions. Perform analysis, design, coding, testing, \n implementation, and maintenance of software solutions.\n\n• Provide consultation and support services for the full life cycle of software product \n development. These activities will include communication with the user community during \n requirements analysis, prototyping, system analysis, development, fielding, and maintenance of \n systems.\n\n• Evaluate new software products and technologies, and provide recommendations to enhance \n existing systems or build new ones.\n\n• Provide software development support for the prototyping of analytical tools, data \n management and user interfaces to databases, and computational utilities.\n\n• Conduct software testing to ensure satisfaction of application development requirements.\n\n• Support software quality assurance and configuration management activities, such as those \n conducted by USCIS’ applicable review authorities.\n\n• Document software procedures and develop software reports, plans, and products, such as \n software development plans, software requirements specifications, software design documents, \n software development files, source code, version description documents, and test plans. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
