Remote Finance & Accounting Analyst
The Finance & Accounting Analyst Role\n\nThis role is a critical asset to our Finance team, tasked with operationalizing and executing our thoughtful financial strategy. We are searching for a self-starter and detail-oriented leader to support robust and accurate processes for our core finance activities. You will manage AP/AR, expenses, financial reporting, and tax preparation, among other key reporting tasks that drive accountability across teams.\n\nYou will also lead and ensure adherence to the organization-wide financial budget, tracking spending, reporting, and managing our team’s spending policies on a monthly basis. In this role, you will operate in an autonomous yet cross-functional environment, leveraging your sharp analytical mindset and tenacious problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate is adept at navigating ambiguity, asking the right questions, interpreting data, and delivering accurate financial predictions.\nWhat You Will Do\n\n\n* Maintain and improve all accounting and financial processes that support the Company’s overall business objectives.\n\n* Reliably manage our accounts payable and accounts receivable while also supporting other accounting tasks\n\n* Drive monthly reporting efforts, like investor quarterly reports or financial budget forecasts, to build storylines and custom analyses that support our critical engagements.\n\n* Identify opportunities to leverage technology to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the Company’s financial processes.\n\n* Provide strong accounting, finance, and business analytical skills to independently drive financial and operational excellence\n\n* Build trusted relationships with department heads, customers, vendors, etc. with a service-oriented mindset.\n\n\n\nAbout You\n\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or similar fields\n\n* 3-6 years of experience in finance / accounting, with a focus on financial operations\n\n* Exemplary history of financial project management and strong data visualization skills\n\n* You have a passion for developing strong financial workflows and policies\n\n* You genuinely enjoy dissecting problems and diligently searching for errors with a fine-tooth comb\n\n* You have an appetite for automation and create a smoother, error-free workflow to optimize the financial engine\n\n* Experience working in early-stage startups is a plus\n\n* Located in the United States; preferably in San Francisco Bay Area\n\n\n\n\n \n\nSalary Range: $86,000 - $125,000 Annually + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)\n\nActual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, certifications or licenses, and specific work location.
