Remote UX + Figma Jobs

Bilbayt.com's software engineering team is looking for a talented UX designer to own and lead all of our design projects and tasks. We're currently planning and developing a new generation of our software products and services (mobile apps, public websites, private admin portals) and need a single designer to lead all of our design initiatives.

What you'll do

• Design the overall look and feel of our software products and services that integrate our new branding, existing design assets, and your new design vision

• Establish UI/UX guidelines that our development team will incorporate into every feature we build

• Collaborate with our management, marketing, and engineer teams to plan and design all new features

• Create detailed user flows, wireframes, mockups, and working prototypes to help our teams plan new features

• Work closely with the development team to evolve your prototypes into production code

• Lead user experience research and testing processes

What it takes to catch our eye

• A design portfolio (required) showing apps and websites that have beautiful modern designs and elegant user experiences

• Experience designing for mobile including native applications and responsive web solutions

• Working knowledge of the capabilities and constraints of web front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript

• Interest in both modern user experience trends and proven user experience designs for successful software

• An entrepreneurial spirit and creativity that sparks your capacity for building and growing business. You’re encouraged to show us your side projects and design experiments

How you'll work

You'll be our sole designer working very independently on all design projects and tasks. You'll be working completely remotely with periodic collaboration (Slack) with our small management, marketing, and engineering teams. You'll be sharing designs and ideas with our teams using the platforms and services you feel are most effective. You'll ultimately be our entire UX design team and will have the freedom and authority to work towards your objectives as you see fit.

You will collaborate with the Head of Design Aftab Arab to deliver industry-defining UX & UI across our Instapass (KYC) & Instabridge (AML) products. As our small but vibrant team grows you’ll get the chance to mentor and manage designers to fuel the team's development.

You won’t just hand over the designs and walk away, but care about the implementation with developers, and monitor how real customers engage with it post-launch. You will draw upon your experience to work closely with stakeholders and technical team members, leading the discovery process, research, user-testing and iterating on your wireframes until you get the perfectly designed solution. You’ll be getting in amongst payment processes, financial terminologies, and AML/KYC processes & always have the heart of the customer in mind.

What do you need?

• You will need experience in finance/fintech or payments space, checkout flows or e-commerce as a Product/UX designer.
• You must be happy to show a strong portfolio of relevant work, showcasing conceptual thinking and strong problem-solving skills.

• You have a belief in Design thinking, by being able to demonstrate how to take complex problems with ambiguity and bring clarity, and by empathising with the needs of the user, defining specific problems, ideating ideas and delivering outcomes.
• You have an understanding of experimentation & analysis and incorporate them into your design focus & decisions.
• You must have experience building and maintaining design systems in Figma.
• You must value people skills, and work in collaboration with team members and creatives because you will need to use storytelling techniques to present creative ideas to peers and senior management
• Previous experience in line-managing and mentoring junior designers is a must

For this position, we are looking for an experienced design professional with a background in design systems for digital products. You’ll play a crucial role in our daily processes and influence products from concept to delivery.

The person in this role will be appreciated from day one, as you’ll be Chek Creative’s first Design hire! We have amazing relationships with freelance designers, but due to our growth, we’ve exceeded the point where we need UX and Web Design skill in-house. That’s where you come in!

You’ll spend your workday creating design systems for our larger product efforts. You’ll also review our freelancer’s product and marketing website designs for consistency, quality, and requirements coverage.

You may be asked to work on some marketing websites and landing pages here and there, but this role is centered around our complex product work.

About You, Our New User Experience Designer

In this position, you’ll do things like:

• Establish and implement organization-wide design processes.

While you watch or read anything, create flashcards with one click, including screenshot and audio recording of the scene, and study them on your phone later wherever you are.

The product is going through a big UI/UX and brand redesign and we’re looking for a talented UI designer to help define and apply a new look to Migaku's applications. We're currently working with an illustrator and brand designer to define the core look and feel, but their work does not extend to UI. As a design director, your main job will be coaching, reviewing, and overseeing work across various projects within the b2b space.
