These newsletters collectively cover markets, the economy, deals, finance, corporates, crypto and everything in between. \n\n* Contribute to deeply reported projects on multiple platforms including newsletters, website, video, podcasts, events and social media.\n\n* Manage the pipeline of breakthrough business stories pitched to broader Axios AM and Axios PM audiences. \n\n* Facilitate collaboration with other editorial teams across the Axios newsroom. \n\n\n\n\nThe Details: Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for Axios’ mission and have the following skills: \n\n\n* 15+ years experience covering and editing markets, business, finance, stocks & economics\n\n* Strong desire to field pitches, write and assign breaking news stories, and brainstorm the best ideas with reporters \n\n* Demonstrated experience conceptualizing big ideas and seeing them through\n\n* Analytical ability to cut through the noise and make it intelligible to other people\n\n* A proven track-record managing, recruiting, mentoring, and developing talent \n\n* A commitment to building and nurturing a diverse and inclusive environment \n\n* A belief in Smart Brevity as the core writing style of Axios\n\n\n\n\nStarting salary for this role is in the range of $150,000 - $220,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation benefits. Axios' compensation philosophy takes into account cost of labor differentials across the country.
