About us:\n\nAt 7bridges weโre reducing waste in global logistics by 50% with the use of data, technology and AI applied at an unprecedented scale. Weโre processing millions of shipments, are backed by two of Europeโs largest VCs and are now in the exciting phase of scaling up to serve more businesses worldwide. \nWe're committed to a healthy, flexible working environment for every member of our team - including parents and caregivers. For that reason, we're happy for people to adopt flexible working hours when needed. Our only ask is that you continue to deliver in your role, and to engage in our regular team meetings (because our team is spread across various timezones and locations, these are important to ensure we're aligned, communicating and working together towards shared goals!\n\nAbout the role:\n\nOur product is made up of 3 layers (see more detailed info here):\n\n-- the ecosystem -- the logistics companies providing logistics services (i.e. transport providers, warehouses, package providers etc) that our customers want to use via our platform\n\n-- the interface -- UI and APIs to view information and interact with the ecosystem we have integrated into\n\n-- L.E.O -- the machine learning layer in between these two layers that automates the decision of which service provider should be used at what time\n\nThis role is for a software engineer to join our ecosystem team. \n\nWhat you will be doing and what we look for in engineers\n\n\n* Understand the logistics providers landscape and how to integrate with different providers\n* We already have API access to 100+ logistics providers but this number will go up dramatically. You'll need to help architect and design a system that will deliver new integrations that enable 7bridges to scale how these are built (by 3rd party contractors or otherwise)\n* Ger your hands dirty writing efficient and robust integrations yourself\n* Be highly data literate with experience in ETL, data acquisition strategies (web scraping, API polling, web crawlers etc), data quality maintenance and provision to reporting suites (and preferably to machine learning applications)\n* Write easy to read code and always be conscious about how easy it would be to debug for your fellow colleagues\n* Translate business strategy into engineering problems and understand how to trade-off design changes\n* Mentor junior members of staff and act as an ambassador for your part of the product to the rest of the team\n* Maintain the quality of the production environment\n\n\nOther wider tech stack:\n\n\n* Python 3\n* PostgreSQL\n* Redis\n* GraphQL\n* Django\n* Django Graphene\n* Django REST framework\n* Celery\n* Pandas\n* Pytest\n* Splinter/Selenium\n* Git\n* Test-Driven Development\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
