[GrapheneDB](http://www.graphenedb.com) provides cloud-hosted [Neo4j](http://neo4j.com) graph databases as a service.\nWe're a growing company and we're looking for a Backend Engineer with a strong systems background.\n\n## What You'll Be Doing\n\n* Build and maintain the distributed system that hosts thousands of Neo4j databases and supports hundres of customers.\n* Improve the reliability and efficiency of GrapheneDB core systems.\n* Monitor, investigate and solve errors in our infrastructure, our distributed system and databases, and collaborate on technical support cases.\n* Manage your own time and focus on the continuous delivery of projects \n\n## What We Expect You To Know\n\n* Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally (in English).\n* Solid programming skills.\n* Familiarity with Distributed Systems programming (we use Scala + Akka).\n* Experience with NoSQL storages.\n\n## Bonus Points \n\n* Solid knowledge in systems programming/administration is a big plus for us.\n* Experience with Neo4j.\n* Experience with containerization (LXC/Docker).\n* Experience with ELK stack and MongoDB.\n\n## Other Requirements\n\n* Completed university degree in the field of Technical Informatics, Computer Science, similar or extensive experience. \n\n## What we offer\n\n* Demanding tasks and new challenges \n* Interesting possibilities for your personal development \n* Competitive salary + stock options \n* Work remotely or from our office, in a focused but casual environment, in Gran Canaria, 10 minutes away from the city beach.
