Our dozens of microservices and event-driven architecture handle thousands of requests and events per second, ingest over 1TB of data per day and process over $1MM per day in sales, while maintaining a 99.9+% uptime. We have 80 engineers across our teams and our biggest selling point is our focus on supporting our engineers’ career growth, whether that’s as a technical contributor or people leader. As an engineer in our product development org you will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and QA, and work in an agile, fast-paced environment (that respects work/life balance).\n\n\nAbout this role\nAs a full-stack engineer you will be a key technical contributor on our teams. You will tackle technical challenges the team faces spanning both frontend and backend web development work. This will include building features for our fintech, travel,, and/or superapp products along with the engines and frameworks that power them. You will predominantly work with React on the frontend, and a combination of Python and Node microservices on the backend. Other technologies you’ll work with include Gitlab, AWS, Postgres, Redis, Datadog, Amplitude, and Snowflake. You will report into an Engineering Manager. We provide the foundation upon which Luxury Presence’s products are built. SREs lead the design, operation, and maintenance of our AWS cloud infrastructure, while also offering Engineering teams valuable frameworks, pipelines, and tooling to streamline production application design, deployment, and management.\n\n\nWhat will you do as a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)?\nAs an SRE, your role will involve collaborating with Infrastructure and Product Delivery teams, utilizing tooling and automation to enhance our Kubernetes clusters' readiness, improve observability, scale the system, optimize performance, and promote operational excellence practices.\n\n\n• Identify and lead strategic initiatives that streamline platform operations, optimize platform performance, and improve system health.\n• Design, build, test and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure that supports workloads for all other teams.\n• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters on AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and efficient resource utilization.\n• Automate application deployments, continuous delivery, and monitoring changes to Kubernetes manifests using ArgoCD.\n• Continuously improve our GitOps foundation with IaC tools like Terraform and Crossplane.\n• Improve monitoring and observability to gain better insights into the platform's health, performance, and potential issues.\n• Assist in the resolution of incidents, identifying root causes, and ensuring timely responses to critical issues affecting the platform.\n• Analyze and optimize system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks in applications or infrastructure components.\n• Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and workflows to streamline tasks and enhance efficiency.\n• Document configurations, processes, and best practices, and sharing knowledge with the Engineering team to foster collaboration and learning.\n• Ensure the platform adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements. Implementing necessary measures.\n\n\n\nSkills And Qualifications:\n* 6+ years of professional combined experience as a Software Engineer and SRE.\n* 3 years minimum of professional experience as SRE or DevOps Engineer.\n* Expert-level knowledge in containerized environments for production workloads utilizing Kubernetes or similar container orchestration systems.\n* MUST have working experience with cloud-native infrastructure such as AWS or GCP (ideally AWS). \n* MUST understand AWS VPC, subnets, Network ACLs, Security Groups, IAM Role, EKS.\n* Experience configuring Kubernetes RBAC Authorization, Ingress controller, ServiceAccount, and AWS role annotations.\n* Experience in automating releases, continuous integration/delivery systems, and relevant tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, Github Actions, GitlabCI, etc.)\n* Experience with infrastructure as code (ideally Terraform or Crossplane)\n* Professional Experience with monitoring, observability systems such as Datadog and Prometheus.\n* Ability to triage and resolve incidents, and lead incident investigations\n* Professional experience with security practices, credential rotations, secrets management systems (ideally Vault).\n* Hands-on experience setting up log aggregators such as Fluentbit, FluentD, or LogStash. It is a senior and highly motivated team. Your mission will be to keep the engineering team moving quickly and flexibly and shape and foster the engineering culture for the company.\n\nYou’ll effectively bridge communication from business leaders to the engineering team, and vice versa. You’ll help the team maintain a healthy pace for long-term sustainability by carefully balancing velocity vs. technical debt. You’ll be a steward and key influencer for both engineering and company culture.\n\nOn any given day, you may work with the CEO’s direct reports on business or organizational strategy, make priority calls on roadmap items and feature vs. technical debt tradeoffs, adjust team structure to better align with the business and market conditions, coach team members irrespective of their function, develop strong technical and managerial leaders, or review a functional specification.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\n\n* Define the engineering culture at 0x Labs and what it means to be an engineer on the team.\n\n* Establish engineering-wide structure, processes, and systems. Identify opportunities for improvement or new teams that should be created.\n\n* Develop a hiring plan that allows our team to achieve its vision. Prioritize hiring and staffing to attract top engineering talent from a diverse spectrum of backgrounds, helping 0x Labs get even stronger as we grow.\n\n* Set engineering-wide goals and help the team to deliver on those metrics. Measure and improve team engagement and productivity.\n\n* Break down barriers for our organization, in particular those that span teams, functions, or departments. Lead engineering-wide initiatives to drive successful outcomes now and over time by ensuring our teams have the context, capabilities, rituals and resources to deliver effectively.\n\n* Collaborate with product management and design leadership to guide the overall technical direction for 0x products and achieve shared goals.\n\n* In the short term mentor, coach, and grow our engineering team, with a focus on developing future leaders.\n\n* Budget and manage costs for engineering.\n\n\n\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n\n\n* Serious interest in crypto and passion for the benefits of decentralization and the 0x mission\n\n\n* Experience as an engineering leader managing multiple teams that require complex coordination.
