In this role, youโll help build and scale powerful capabilities that provide key metrics and insights about Webflow traffic and usage. \nAbout the role \n\n\n* Location: Remote-first (United States; BC & ON, Canada) \n\n* Full-time\n\n* Exempt status\n\n* The cash compensation for this role is tailored to align with the cost of labor in different U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this role ranges from $143,000 in our lowest geographic market up to $198,200 in our highest geographic market. These figures are in $USD and apply to candidates in the United States. The specific base pay within the range will be determined by the candidateโs geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.\n\n* Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager\n\n\n\n\nAs a Senior Software Engineer, Analytics youโllโฆ\n\n\n* Collaborate with designers, PMs, data scientists and engineers to plan and build product capabilities that enable our ambitious visual development goals.\n\n* Develop frontend components and visualizations for analytics products. \n\n* Tackle complex technical challenges on a collaborative and geographically distributed team.\n\n* Solve problems in a highly technical platform that empowers hundreds of thousands of people.\n\n* Apply web best practices, including performance optimization techniques, accessibility standards and secure data exchange between different domains.\n\n* Build software that tracks analytics events to gather data insights and improve website performance.\n\n* Build, document, and test production code that impacts all Webflow customers.\n\n* Participate in all engineering activities including incident response, interviewing, designing and reviewing technical specifications, code review, and releasing new functionality.\n\n* Improve our planning, development, and deployment processes to help you and your fellow team members.\n\n\n\n\nIn addition to the responsibilities outlined above, at Webflow we will support you in identifying where your interests and development opportunities lie and we'll help you incorporate them into your role.\nAbout you \n\nYouโll thrive as a Senior Software Engineer, Analytics if youโฆ\n\n\n* Have 5+ years of experience shipping features and products.\n\n* Have full-stack development experience with Node.js, React, TypeScript. \n\n* Are experienced working with data visualization libraries like D3.js, Plotly, or similar.\n\n* Are familiar with web security concepts, analytics platforms and event tracking tools such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel \n\n* Possess strong understanding of web development best practices and principles, including responsive design and accessibility standards.\n\n* Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.\n\n* Are familiar with authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT for securing web applications.\n\n* Are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.\n\n* Love thinking through large technical problems and working through that complexity on a collaborative, distributed team.\n\n* Are comfortable building up a mental model of a product and architecture through reading code and debugging existing software.\n\n* Can debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.\n\n* Take pride in taking ownership and driving projects to business impact.\n\n* Have consistently communicated trade-offs throughout a project to meet both technical and business requirements.\n\n* Are comfortable working in an agile, safe-to-fail environment.\n\n\n\n\nEven if you donโt meet 100% of the above qualifications, you should still seriously consider applying.
