Remote Forward Deployed Engineer Firmware Specialist
Company BackgroundLuxor is a global leader in Bitcoin mining solutions, offering a suite of services such as a Mining Pool, ASIC firmware via LuxOS, an ASIC brokerage desk, Hashrate Derivatives markets, and a cutting-edge data platform, Hashrate Index.\nRole OverviewThis is a fully remote position with occasional travel requirements, reporting directly to the Business Development Lead and Product Manager for firmware. The role involves hands-on technical work and customer interaction to ensure the effective implementation and optimization of LuxOS.\nResponsibilities\n\n\n\n* Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to customers, ensuring their needs are met in a prompt and professional manner.\n\n* Develop and maintain detailed documentation related to firmware installation, feature sets, and troubleshooting.\n\n* Engage with Luxor's APIs to meet client-defined technical requirements.\n\n* Implement and optimize LuxOS across client fleets, offering specialized knowledge in its functionalities.\n\n* Collaborate with development and product teams to identify and resolve technical issues.\n\n* Conduct firmware installations both on-site and remotely during client onboarding.\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n\n* Passion for customer service, with an ability to liaise between customers and internal teams to resolve issues.\n\n* In-depth knowledge of firmware technologies.\n\n* Proficiency in Python and bash scripting, with experience in navigating Linux terminals.\n\n* Skill in VPN configuration for remote access and installation.\n\n* Interest and experience in Bitcoin mining hardware, particularly ASICs.\n\n* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-centric approach.\n\n\nLuxor is dedicated to fostering an inclusive work environment.
