Remote Data Engineer
\nKyivstar.Tech is looking for a Data Engineer (AWS Developer) to manage various life cycles of large systems. The Data Lifecycle Engineer will have the ability to help customers realize their full potential by accelerating the adoption and productive use of AWS technologies\n\n\nRequirements:\n· 3+ years of technical expertise in Database development, designing and building database solutions (tables / stored procedures / forms / queries / etc.)\n· Business intelligence knowledge with a deep understanding of data structure / data models to design and tune BI solutions\n· 3+ years experience AWS services like EC2, S3, Redshift/Spectrum, Glue, Athena, RDS, Lambda, and API gateway\n· Familiar with software DevOps CI/CD tools, such Git, Jenkins, Linux, and Shell Script\n· Understanding of Spark, Hive, Kafka, Spark Streaming, and Airflow\n· Experience in Software Engineering and Development\n· Understanding of database schema design\n· Advanced data analytics – designing and building solutions using AWS technologies\n· Data formats knowledge and the differences between them\n· Experience with Hadoop stack\n· Experience with RDBMS and/or NoSQL\n· Experience with Kafka\n· Experience with Java and/or Scala and/or python\n· Knowledge of version control system: git or bitbucket\n· BI Tools experience (PowerBI)\n· Background in test driven development, automated testing and other software engineering best practices (e.g., performance, security, BDD, etc.)\n· Docker/Kubernetes paradigm understanding\n· English –upper intermediate\n· Related AWS Certifications are a plus\n\n\nResponsibility:\n· Developing ETL flows based on AWS stack technology: such as EC2, S3, edshift/Spectrum, Glue, Athena, RDS, Lambda, and API gateway\n· Participate in efforts to design, build, and develop rapid Proof-of-Concept (POC) solutions and services\n· Be a key team member in design and development of the product team\n· Participate in sprint planning meetings and provide estimations on technical implementation\n· Collaborate with the other engineering team members to ensure all services are reliable, maintainable, and well-integrated into existing platforms\n· Review functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements\n· Troubleshooting and performance optimization for data processing flows, data models\n· Build and maintain reporting, models, dashboards\n\n\nWe offer:\n· Office or remote — it's up to you: you can work from anywhere, and we will arrange your workplace\n· Remote onboarding\n· Performance bonuses for everyone (annual or quarterly — depends on the role)\n· We train employees: the opportunity to learn through the company’s own library, internal resources and programs from partners\n· Health and life insurance\n· Wellbeing program and corporate psychologist\n· Reimbursement of expenses for Kyivstar mobile communication\n\n\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
