But Status is also building foundational infrastructure for the whole Ethereum ecosystem, including the Nimbus ETH 1.0 and 2.0 clients, the Keycard hardware wallet, and the Waku messaging protocol (a continuation of Whisper).\nAs a team, Status has been completely distributed since inception. Our team is currently 150+ core contributors strong, and welcomes a growing number of community members from all walks of life, scattered all around the globe. \nWe care deeply about open source, and our organizational structure has minimal hierarchy and no fixed work hours. Logos is a grassroots movement to provide trust-minimized, corruption resistant governing services and social institutions to underserved citizens. \n\nLogosโ infrastructure will provide a base for the provisioning of the next-generation of governing services and social institutions - paving the way to economic opportunities to those who need them most, whilst respecting basic human rights through the networkโs design.\n\nYou can read more about Logos here: in this small handbook for mindful readers like yourself. \n\nThe role\n\nStatus is looking for an Activist Copywriter to write copy for a range of audiences. Must be a strong advocate for decentralization, free speech and privacy. Focusing specifically on the fulfillment of civil liberties and corporate threats to free speech, privacy online & technology. \n\nPassionate about highlighting how communities are stifled by state surveillance and corporate restrictions, Previous experience working with political groups / activists globally to collaboratively facilitate change is a plus.\n\nKey responsibilities\n\n\nParticipate in developing messaging - in conjunction with others - that is clear, concise, aligned with organization's principles and values, and persuasive for a variety of mediums. \n\nWrite a variety of different copy that is informative, inspiring and engaging, tailored to different audiences and mediums. \n\nReview and edit copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.\n\n\n\n\nYou ideally will have\n\n\nMinimum 3 years experience copywriting in Blockchain/Crypto or Tech domain.\n\nStrong writing skills and the ability to craft messaging that is both persuasive and informative.\n\nExperience developing content for various mediums, including website copy, blog posts, email campaigns, and social media.\n\nExperience in, and passion for, blockchain technology and an understanding of its potential applications and significance\n\nA strong alignment to our principles: https://status.im/about/#our-principles\n\n\nStrong advocacy for Decentralization, Speech and Privacy\n\nExperience with political or activist movements\n\nA body of work demonstrating writing abilities\n\nAbility to work collaboratively with others.\n\nAbility to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n\nShared values and political ideologies of the cypherpunk movement.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\n\n\n\n\nBonus points\n\n\nYou are comfortable working remotely and asynchronously\n\nExperience working for an open source organization\n\nTechnical writing experience\n\nExperience working within a similar organization\n\n\n\n\nDonโt worry if you donโt meet all of these criteria, weโd still love to hear from you anyway if you think youโd be a great fit for this role.\n\n\nCompensation\n\nWe are happy to pay in either 100% fiat or any mix of fiat and/or crypto.
