This role will work to support The Athleticโs womenโs soccer coverage. Our ideal candidate will have excellent experience in creating engaging social-first video formats, video editing and post-production in fast-paced environments, and have some expertise and a keen interest in technical equipment including cameras, lighting, microphones and editing software. Applicants should be interested in and have knowledge of womenโs soccer in the US and Europe. \n\n\nThis role will be remote for candidates located in the United States or Canada only. \n\n\n\nResponsibilities\n* Remotely produce, shoot, and edit videos with our womenโs soccer newsroom talent.\n* Write scripts and direct presenting talent.\n* Work under the Senior Executive Producer to create content for and run our womenโs soccer social video channels including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, including channel and community management tasks.\n* Work with the video growth team to identify trends and scale our womenโs soccer video products.\n* Assist the other video production teams with additional editing when required.\n\n\n\nRequirements\n* 4+ years of relevant industry experience.\n* BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.\n* Expertise in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud software.\n* Outstanding editing skills.\n* Experience with cameras, lighting and audio desirable.\n* High level of professionalism; driven and motivated with excellent follow-up.\n* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.\n* Creative and strategic thinking skills.\n* Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\n* Broadcast journalism experience, and/or social video editing experience in the sports media industry is desirable.\n* Knowledge of and keen interest in womenโs soccer.\n* Must be available to work shifts, including weekends and evenings.\n* This role will be remote for candidates located in the United States or Canada only.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe annual base salary range for this role is $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 USD.
