The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing our data maturity journey, driving our understanding of the product and user base through insightful analysis and visualisation.\n\n \nMeet the team: \n\nThe data team currently consists of a Data and Analytics Lead, 2 Data Engineers, 1 Data Analyst and 1 Data Scientist. This role will mostly work closely with the Data Analyst and Data Scientist, though as a small team there will still be a lot of crossover with Data Engineering. Data has recently moved into Technology at Glean, meaning there will be cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, UX and Product.\n\nYour Manager will be Phil, the Data and Analytics Lead, who has been at Glean for a year and has 10 years of experience in Data. \n\n \nWhat youโll be doing: \n\nData Analysis and Visualization: \n\n\n* Develop both ad-hoc and recurring reports using Tableau to provide actionable insights into product performance and user behaviour.\n\n* Drive the data team's presence across the organisation by sharing interesting and impactful insights.\n\n* Champion the adoption of Tableau as a primary data visualisation tool across the organisation.\n\n* Identify and leverage valuable data sources to enrich our understanding of user interactions and product usage.\n\n* Utilise dbt to model data and maintain reporting schemas in Databricks, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.\n\n\n\n\nCollaboration:\n\n\n* Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organisation to extract maximum value from available data.\n\n* Work closely with data engineers to integrate data from diverse sources and ensure data quality and integrity.\n\n* Contribute to the implementation and refinement of the organisation's overall data strategy, aligning data initiatives with business objectives.\n\n\n\n\nInfluencing and Consultation:\n\n\n* Advocate for best practices in data management and visualisation, influencing data processes to uphold standards of quality and reliability.\n\n* Provide consultation and guidance on data visualisation techniques to ensure consistency and effectiveness in reporting.\n\n\n\n\n \nAbout you: \n\n\n* Proven experience in data analysis and visualisation, with proficiency in Tableau or a similar visualisation tool\n\n* Strong SQL skills and experience with data modelling and schema design\n\n* Python knowledge\n\n* Experienced in storytelling through data visualisation tools\n\n* Curious minded \n\n* Able to take the initiative and willing to drive projects independently\n\n* Excellent attention to detail\n\n* An eye for accessible design\n\n* Ability to give and receive feedback\n\n\n\n\n \n๐ฐSalary and benefits:\n\nยฃ55,000 - ยฃ70,000 dependent upon experience \n\n๐๏ธ 33 days annual leave (Inclusive of bank holidays)\n\n๐ 3 gifted days off at Christmas\n\n๐ Generous individual learning and training allowance \n\nโ Truly flexible hours to suit when you work best \n\n๐ป Full home working set up and beautiful collaborative office space \n\n๐ด Nomad working policy with family travel insurance \n\n๐ผ Enhanced 26 weeks maternity and 4 weeks paternity (fully paid)\n\n๐ค Health cash plan (from glasses to massages) \n\n๐ธ 6% employer pension contribution\n\n \nLocation: \n\nWe have a beautiful office space in Leeds and we love it when we get together to collaborate in person.
