\nBarrel is a digital agency that designs, builds, and optimizes e-commerce websites for brands. We work with exciting brands across fashion, beauty, CPG, and home goods. We are a highly collaborative and fully distributed team.\n\n\nWe are currently looking for a full-time contract Project Manager to join our team. As a remote-first company, you may work anywhere in Latin America.\n\n\nThe project manager (PM) at Barrel is responsible for driving progress on our client projects while ensuring that we are delivering the work on time, on budget, and satisfying all requirements.\n\n\nThe PM is a technical leader who has a firm grasp of our approach to getting the work done. While not expected to be hands-on, the PM is responsible for ensuring the right team members weigh in and provide the necessary insights, knowledge, and plans to complete the project. This is accomplished by proactively seeking context, answers, and clarification on all aspects of the project. Any gaps in the project approach are the responsibility of the PM to fill.\n\n\nA PM accepts that they are empowered to find ways to deliver a project on time and on budget. Not being proactive in bringing in the necessary subject matter experts to detail out an approach.\n* Delays and lack of urgency in creating project schedules and providing clear direction to the team on priority actions.\n* Not taking responsibility for project delays or budget overruns, quick to blame external circumstances. External circumstances may indeed impact the project, but the PM must still take ownership and present solutions to keep moving forward.\n* Being inflexible with process and approach even as scope and variables change.\n* Disorganized and lacking personal systems to manage flow of communication, tasks, and knowledge to ensure project success.
