\nTechnical Accounting Manager\n\nReporting directly to the Corporate Accounting Manager, the Technical Accounting Manager will be responsible for technical accounting research and assessments with an emphasis on revenue recognition, inventories and equity accounting. The Technical Accounting Manager will be a member of a growing, high-performing team and expected to help with the implementation of financial processes and procedures enterprise-wide. The ideal candidate will have five or more years of accounting experience, strong communication skills and superb attention to detail.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n\n* Analyze new material contracts with customers for determination of appropriate application of ASC 606 and Company policy.\n\n* Ensure revenue recognition of existing contracts is appropriate.\n\n* Prepare and / or review monthly close schedules related to inventories.\n\n* Prepare technical accounting memos for internal files as well as for external audit.\n\n* Research new U.S. GAAP standards and develop and document Company policies and elections.\n\n* Review and document the impact of new U.S. GAAP and / or IFRS standards on the entire organization.\n\n* Communicate with the Company's auditors on audit-related matters.\n\n* Assist on special projects as needed as directed.\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n\n* Bachelorโs degree in accounting, finance or a related field;\n\n* Minimum of five years of accounting experience with external audit and/or public company experience preferred;\n\n* Demonstrated understanding of US GAAP and IFRS financial statements along with the ability to research such items;\n\n* Demonstrated ability to perform technical accounting research, write effective position papers and communicate appropriate accounting treatment;\n\n* Advanced understanding of ASC 606 strongly preferred;\n\n* Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with non-accountants;\n\n* Experience with the use of ERP systems, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience preferred;\n\n* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word and skilled in accounting and ERP systems;\n\n* Superb attention to detail;\n\n* Can function independently and effectively in a self-directed environment;\n\n* Resilient team player who can juggle multiple priorities and competing deadlines, and;\n\n* Hard-working, motivated and reliable with a desire to learn and succeed in a demanding role.\n\n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
