We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Application Developer.\n\nThe Application Developer is responsible for working with their team to creatively deliver reliable software and system solutions, writing efficient and maintainable code and utilizing effective agile engineering practices. The Developer works on the team sprint goals and shares learnings with their teammates in achieving success with our clients. He/she is expected to demonstrate a high level of creative and innovative solutions and be effective at communicating with clients as required to ensure project needs are successfully delivered.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n\n\n* Working as a team member, helps design and develop custom features, system integrations, and application components using agreed team practices and following company software development policies and guidelines.\n\n* Functions as a developer on a dedicated solution delivery team. Strives for excellence and quality and ensures testing/coverage is adequate for a maintainable solution.\n\n* Reviews application functional objectives/acceptance criteria. Analyzes user stories and translates to system features and functionality, and participates in test case development for expected functional and performance requirements.\n\n* Participates in team and company growth. Updates development knowledge base, researches new development technologies and software products, participates in educational opportunities and other professional growth resources.\n\n* Delivers value to customers. Enhances Highland's reputation by accepting ownership for quality. Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments through innovative solutions development.\n\n* Protects client and Highland operations. Follows security policies and keeps information and data confidential.\n\n* Holds themselves and their team members accountable for delivering high value and quality to clients, and provides high-transparency by identifying information needs and facilitating communication.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

The Application Developer takes ownership of assigned development projects from inception to delivery. He/she is expected to operate within an agile work team, with the ability to multi-task, teach and instruct team members, attend meetings with external clients as required to ensure client’s needs are met and successfully delivered.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n\n\n* Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions\n\n* Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code\n\n* Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming\n\n* Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures\n\n* Tests products before they are put into production\n\n* Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.\n\n* Protects operations by keeping information confidential\n\n* Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues\n\n* Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results on-time and as needed\n\n* Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
