Proactively communicate with and influence clients to approve and process payables for our services.\n\n* Lead project teams, in conjunction with the client leadership, to develop project goals and work plans, and achieve quality, budget, schedule, innovation and profitability objectives.\n\n* Facilitate the development, evolution and management of the work plan, budget, and schedule. Preferred tools include MS Project and Deltek Project Planning.\n\n* Manage design and documentation process and implementation of the design during the construction process.\n\n* Accountable to maintain the project record, includes but not limited to capture and documenting key decisions and records within the CannonDesign standard file structure.\n\n* Accountable for Risk mitigation and Compliance.\n\n* Accountable for developing a risk management plan and managing project Risks.\n\n* Collaborate effectively with all team members. Generate and support a positive team environment: participation, empowerment, and accomplishment.\n\n* Implement CannonDesign Method using process expectations, best practices, reference standards, tools, templates, and technology to achieve competitive advantage, superior service delivery and quality, and enhanced team productivity and profitability.\n\n* Manage and coordinate workload of team and provide leadership of team activities. Communicate client objectives to team members in a clear and compelling way. Provide constructive feedback and mentoring to team members. Identify and share lessons learned with teams.\n\n* Be a proactive resource to project teams in their decision-making processes and in the development of technically sound and innovative planning and design solutions.\n\n* Meet with project team members on a regular basis to monitor work in progress and to assure that the firmโs best practice standards and procedures are being implemented.\n\n* Responsible for ensuring that all statutory requirements for the project are achieved.\n\n* Accountable for the QA/QC process. Monitor the technical quality of the projects. Enforce the application of QA/QC process standards and requirements. Additionally, be an active participant in the QAQC process.\n\n* Coordinate with the Project Architect and the Quality leader in planning the work.\n\n* Participate in negotiating the contract with other project leadership, the Business Practice Leader and Legal Team.\n\n* Perform other duties as assigned.\n\n\n\n\n \nABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS\n\n\n\n* Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related degree required. \n\n* Minimum 10 years of related experience.\n\n* Previous experience with Higher Education and/or Science & Technology Projects is preferred.\n\n* Licensure or registration in the United States preferred.\n\n* LEED accreditation preferred.\n\n* Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.\n\n* Strong business acumen, technical knowledge, coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team and client is essential.\n\n* Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, MS Project, Deltek Vision, Bluebeam as well as other data management software is required.\n\n\n\n\nAs a Federal Contractor, CannonDesign is required to comply with President Biden's Executive Order 14042. Under the direct supervision of a Licensed Architect and project leadership the primary responsibilities will include the following:\n \nWHAT YOU WILL DO \n\n\n* Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, provide architectural support to the Project Architect or Project Designer in the design, selection, coordination, and detailing of architectural materials and systems.\n\n* Build physical building models.\n\n* Produce architectural documentation under the guidance of the Project Architect, Project Manager or Project Designer.\n\n* Participate in preparation of graphics materials and images for client presentations.\n\n* Participate in research initiatives as directed by the Project Architect or Project Manager.\n\n* Assist project leadership in all activities during conceptual design through construction documents.\n\n* Participate in the architectural design process in a support role.\n\n* Review shop drawing submittals under the direction of the Project Architect.\n\n* Respond to clientโs questions and comments with supervisory guidance.\n\n* Work in the REVIT model to produce plans, elevations and sections under the guidance of the Project Architect or Project Designer.\n\n* Communicate with other disciplines to ensure coordination of project documents.\n\n* Attend project team meetings and participate in project presentations.\n\n* Demonstrates independent judgment in handling responsibilities at this level.\n\n* Perform other duties as assigned.\n\n\n\n\n \nABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS\n\n\n\n* Bachelor's degree in Architecture required. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program preferred.\n\n* Minimum 2 years of related professional experience.\n\n* Actively pursing Architectural Registration in the United States preferred.\n\n* Strong creative design portfolio is essential as are strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.\n\n* Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.\n\n\n\n\nAs a Federal Contractor, CannonDesign is required to comply with President Biden's Executive Order 14042.
