For more information, visit applydigital.com.\n\n\n\n\nTHE ROLE\nAs a Freelance Solutions Architect (MarTech), youโll play a critical role in helping Apply clients design and deliver scalable marketing technology solutions that unlock better customer experiences and measurable growth. Reporting into the Marketing Services team, you will lead the technical architecture for CRM, CDP, and marketing automation implementations, translating business goals into clear technical plans and requirements. You will help clients modernize their MarTech stack, improve data quality and activation, and enable teams to run more personalized, omnichannel customer journeys.\n\n\n\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\nSolution Architecture & Discovery\n\n\n* \n\nLead discovery workshops to understand client objectives, existing systems, data flows, and constraints.\n\n\n* \n\nDefine target-state architecture for CRM, CDP, and marketing automation, including integration patterns, governance, and scalability considerations.\n\n\n* \n\nTranslate business problems into technical solution options, with clear trade-offs, effort estimates, and risks.\n\n\n\n\n\nImplementation Leadership & Delivery\n\n\n* \n\nGuide implementations end-to-end, from documentation and planning through detailed requirements and support for build.\n\n\n* \n\nProduce high-quality technical artifacts including architecture diagrams, data flow maps, event and identity models, and implementation roadmaps.\n\n\n* \n\nWrite clear technical requirements for engineers, partnering with technical project management to scope, sequence, and deliver work.\n\n\n* \n\nPartner with client stakeholders to drive decisions and keep delivery aligned to outcomes, timelines, and dependencies.\n\n\n\n\n\nMarTech Platforms, Integrations, and Data\n\n\n* \n\nArchitect and support integrations across the MarTech stack, including CDPs, marketing automation platforms, analytics, attribution, and enrichment tools.\n\n\n* \n\nDesign data schemas and event tracking plans that support lifecycle use cases and analytics needs.\n\n\n* \n\nSupport ETL and reverse ETL patterns to activate data into downstream destinations.\n\n\n* \n\nEnsure solutions account for omnichannel transactional and marketing messaging, customer journeys, user states, and event-driven automation.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n\n* Hands-on experience with Braze and Iterable. \n\n* \n\n5+ years of software development experience.\n\n\n* \n\n5+ years of experience integrating third-party tools, including involvement in planning and developing ETL solutions.\n\n\n* \n\n2+ years of hands-on experience with a CDP such as Mixpanel, Segment, mParticle, Tealium, Treasure Data, or similar.\n\n\n* \n\n2+ years of experience working directly with clients or key stakeholders.\n\n\n* \n\nDemonstrated experience designing and architecting a CDP and/or marketing automation integration, and ability to walk through the full implementation lifecycle.\n\n\n* \n\nExperience working with APIs and at least one of the following: Mobile SDKs, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.\n\n\n* \n\nExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, Redshift), GCP, Heroku, or iPaaS tools.\n\n\n\n\n\nNice to Have\n\n\n* \n\nExperience defining cross-platform technical requirements across the MarTech stack.\n\n\n* \n\nPlatform experience implementing CDPs such as Segment, RudderStack, mParticle, Tealium, or similar.\n\n\n* \n\nExperience configuring lifecycle journeys and campaigns in tools like Braze, Iterable, Klaviyo, Customer.io, or similar.\n\n\n* \n\nFamiliarity with analytics, enrichment, and attribution tools and approaches.\n\n\n* \n\nUnderstanding of marketing attribution, including auditing integrations and attribution data.\n\n\n* \n\nProficiency with JSON and SQL, including data modeling best practices.\n\n\n* \n\nExperience with reverse ETL tools such as Hightouch or Census.\n\n\n* \n\nExperience with scripting languages and serverless patterns, including lambda functions.\n\n\n* \n\nAbility to clearly present technical concepts and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.\n\n\n* \n\nPlatform experience with Shopify or Magento.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLIFE AT APPLY\n\n \n\nPeople are at the core of everything we do at APPLY.
