By tackling inefficiencies in the food system, our passionate and motivated team of problem solvers helps save an average of 500,000 pounds of food per week from waste or lesser outcomes, with an all-time savings of 190+ million pounds of food.\n\nAbout the role:\n\nWe are now seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our Customer Tech team. As a Customer Tech Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and iterating on the technology platform and integrations that power our web and mobile Marketplace. You’ll leverage deep technical skills and a customer-centered mindset to help our team build engaging landing pages, streamlined sign-up flows, and creative components that help new visitors understand our sustainability mission and rich product catalog. You’ll be partnering closely with product managers, data experts, and our design team to understand customer behavior and create content that will power our new customer experience for years to come.\n\nYou will get to:\n\n\n* Collaborate with the product team to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation and delivery\n\n* Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product offering\n\n* Build high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes\n\n* Participate as a key member of a passionate full-stack engineering team in an Agile environment\n\n\n\n\nWho we’re looking for:\n\n\n* 6+ years of experience developing software in PHP or another Object Oriented language\n\n* A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design best practices\n\n* Experience with building and deploying services on AWS or another cloud provider\n\n* Familiarity with modern user interface frameworks like React\n\n* A proven track record of working in fast-paced environments\n\n* BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience\n\n\n\n\nDetails of Position & Benefits:\n\n* Annual salary range: $140k-160k\n\n* Full-time exempt position\n\n* 100 % Remote Work\n\n* Salary and employee stock options commensurate with experience\n\n* Unlimited PTO\n\n* Multiple health, dental, and vision plan options\n\n* Life Insurance\n\n* 401K plan\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
