\nScrive is seeking a service reliability engineer (SRE) to complement its engineering team assisting its Head of Service Operations and other business stakeholders while working alongside another SRE.\n\nThe role primarily involves analyzing and resolving reported problems with any part of Scrive’s in-house developed software and services. There may be some tool development work to assist the service reliability effort, as well as a requirement to be on-call (shared with the other SRE) to help with system diagnosis.\n\nMaintenance work on internal systems and assisting in system updates out of hours is required, as is a familiarity with or willingness to learn and implement a load testing system.\n\nAdditionally, following and participating in architectural discussion with engineering departments, suggesting reliability improvements to engineers and having a good general perspective on the need for system reliability is necessary.\n\nIt should be noted that this is not a development role and the successful applicant will not be carrying out generic development work on Scrive systems and services.\n\nApplicants for this position must be based within the EU, applications from outside will not be considered under any circumstances. \nWe have a stable backend written in Haskell, with a dash of Java for manipulating PDFs. The front-end is written in Javascript, mostly using React.\n\nWe need someone with a strong Haskell background to help maintain and expand our Haskell backend, find and fix performance problems, and help us maintain our Haskell packages (e.g. hpqtypes, happstack-static-routing, consumers). We are looking for someone who is in touch with the Haskell ecosystem and can make decisions as to what the best tools to use are, or to develop them when deemed necessary.\n\nEveryone in Engineering contributes to the system architecture, so the work will contain not just lots of development, but also elements of system architecture in cooperation with other engineers as you spend more time with the company. We review each other’s code based on skills and experience.\n\nAs our product handles sensitive and important documents and needs to be available 24/7/365, attention to quality is an essential trait for any candidate. \nScrive is now recruiting a System Administrator to assist our Head of IT and the business stakeholders. The role primarily involves development and administration of the server/network infrastructure, and a very limited amount of desktop support. You will be supporting business partners in Sweden, Poland and the UK.\n\n\n\nThe role can be located anywhere within the European Union. You will also do scripting, primarily in Bash and Python.\n\n\nThere will be user support involving hardware, software and application issues on OS X with a small amount of Windows/Linux support. Candidates should be flexible as new tasks may be added to their role and be willing to work out of hours.\n\n\nEMPLOYMENT:\n\nEmployed on a full time basis, six-month probation period.
