Remote Senior Blockchain Engineer
\nWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Blockchain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining blockchain solutions, primarily using Go. This role requires a strong understanding of blockchain technologies and experience with developing distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and a desire to work on challenging and exciting projects.\n\n\n\nWhat You Will Do:\n* Contribute to the design and development of our state of the art blockchains.\n* Unit test, document, and support the code you write.\n* Troubleshoot and resolve issues.\n* Work closely with leadership to identify upcoming opportunities and risks.\n* Provide technical assistance to community members using our open source software.\n* Assist partners with technical integrations.\n* Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.\n* Mentor less experienced developers.\n* This is a remote role that can be worked nearly anywhere in the world; however this person must be able to work the core hours of 9am-5pm Pacific Standard Time. \n\n\n\nWhat You Will Bring:\n* 5+ years of experience in software engineering.\n* Proficiency in Go and experience with other languages such as Python or JavaScript.\n* Experience with C++ is a plus.\n* Strong understanding of blockchain technologies, including consensus mechanisms and peer-to-peer networking.\n* Proficient in security best practices in software and blockchain.\n* Experience in blockchain and/or decentralized architectures.\n* Understanding of common blockchain protocols including JSON-RPC.\n* Experience in distributed systems and microservices architectures is a plus.\n* Experience with multithreading and concurrency patterns.\n* Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.\n* Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.\n* Demonstrated technical design capabilities, having architected complex technical features despite ever-evolving product requirements.\n* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.\n* A self-directed working style.\n* Confidence to identify and implement improvements without direction from others.\n\n\n\nWhat We Offer: \n* An exciting opportunity to work with an inspirational team that fosters growth and values trust.\n* 100% opportunity to work on products that will change the world.\n* Monthly subsidies for wellness activities, food and drink.\n* Learning & Development stipend.\n* Flexible PTO and paid holidays (per applicable country).\n* Potential for stock options. \n\n\n\n\n\n$140,000 - $170,000 a year\n\nMetallicus is proud to be an equal employment opportunity employer that values diversity in hiring, and gives consideration to all candidates regardless of their race, age, creed, color, religion or religious belief, national origin or ancestry, disability, military or veteran status, genetic information, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal law.\n\n\n*Please note that we are not open to solicitation for any recruiting services at this time.* \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
