Your key areas of focus\n\nAs a Platform Product Manager at Zepz, you’ll join a Data Engineering team, and you’ll take ownership of your team’s overall roadmap, as well as share ownership of the Zepz data platform from ingestion to BI in partnership with your Engineering manager counterpart. \n\nWe are growing fast (yes even now) and at a stage where we want to move fast with high stability. So you’ll have to be comfortable with making progress with incomplete or imperfect information.\nIn your first few months, you’ll:\n\nHelp us understand our users and business better by working with engineering to improve data availability, quality and usability. You may also engage on specific data-heavy projects to help solve business problems.\n\nThis starts with fully understanding the issue you are trying to solve by having conversations with business users of data, examining analytics and usage patterns of the data platform, and whatever else is required. You’ll then work on designing a solution, hopefully, one that can be implemented iteratively, together with your engineering team, other members of the Data team, and as-needed stakeholders from across the company. You’ll work with your team to prioritise it and you’ll ensure that it gets built to spec and shipped. You’ll measure the impact and ensure that it solves the problems you set out to solve. \nWhat you bring to the table\n\n\n* The ability to figure out what needs to get built and executed. You probably have a few years of professional product management experience in a high-growth, data-intensive environment. You can articulate a problem and confidently scope fast iterations and make sure to deliver customer and/or business value constantly\n\n* Data-savviness coupled with an inquisitive and investigative nature. You may have a technical background or just a ton of curiosity that leads to a broad set of analytics skills. You not afraid to learn or use new tools, write SQL, dig through tickets, look into some code, or do whatever else it takes for you to frame questions and get data quickly so you and your teams can better understand a problem and prioritise solutions\n\n* Desire to get your hands dirty. We sent over 15Bn on behalf of our users last year, and we are just getting started. You are willing, and excited, to roll up your sleeves and do whatever needs to be done.\n\n* Clear communication skills. You’ll be making complex tradeoffs about what’s best for our users and our business thoughtfully and collaboratively. The ability to articulate them is critical to your success, especially in cross domain collaboration efforts.\n\n* Juggling multiple projects at once. Strong project management skills and can plan, coordinate, and track multiple initiatives simultaneously.\n\n\n\n\nBonus points if you have:\n\n\n* Previous experience working with the following data stack: Databricks, Astronomer/Airflow, Mode, dbt, Metaplane. \n\n* Creativity, flexibility, and the ability to handle ambiguity gracefully.\n\n* An open mind with respect to diversity and inclusivity. Our team (and customers) come from all over the world.\n\n* Previous experience working in a data driven environment, especially one where you contributed to the institutional knowledge by using data and analytics.\n\n\n
