We’re constantly evolving and improving to make sure we are and always will be “Best in Class” ... and we want that for you too!\n\n\nThe Prior Period Tax Specialist is responsible for researching and correcting prior period tax issues and/or related payroll corrections in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements. This role requires a high level of understanding in the tax filing and payments process and will collaborate with both external and internal stakeholders. \n\n\n\nHow you'll add value: \n* Research, reconcile, and prepare amended tax returns and payments for federal, state, local jurisdictions. \n* Create and reconcile journal entries for state and local tax payments. \n* Research payroll tax issues raised by internal stakeholders and customers and provide timely resolutions. \n* Complete tax rate protests, abatements, and account reconciliations and audits. \n* Identify and resolve root cause discrepancies and recommend process improvements to reduce tax issues and improve filing efficiencies. \n* Assist with special projects as needed including quarter-end and year-end processing. \n\n\n\nWhat you'll need to be successful in this role: \n* 2+ years of payroll tax filing experience. \n* Demonstrated working knowledge of U.S. local, state, and federal payroll tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure product and services are compliant. \n* Experience using QuickBooks or a similar accounting platform. \n* Attention to detail and strong organizational and work prioritization skills. \n* Knowledge and experience in the SaaS / Software industry preferred, but not required. \n* Advanced demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel and tax and payroll systems and how they operate. \n* Ability to work with company executives to understand the company’s business needs and strategy. \n* Excellent written/verbal communication skills. \n* Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use upmost discretion when accessing sensitive information. \n* Able to meet and exceed strict deadlines while handling high volume of clients. \n\n\n\nR365 Team Member Benefits & Compensation\n* This position has a salary range of $31.25/hour. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location.
