You will design and deliver high-impact content that helps data practitioners - ranging from advanced engineers to business users - use Prophecy to solve complex data prep and analytics problems.\n\nLeveraging your experience in data engineering, data analytics, data prep, and/or business analytics, you will translate sophisticated concepts into precise actionable guidance. You bring strong narrative judgment, a structured approach to information design, and a deep commitment to championing the customer’s perspective in a fast-paced environment.\n\nThis role offers a rare opportunity to define modern data prep and analysis documentation is created and consumed. You will share Prophecy's documentation strategy, pushing beyond traditional documentation to set a new industry standard while partnering with a high-performing team at a rapidly growing company.\n\nIdeally You Would Have\n\nExperience\n\n\n* 6+ years of experience in technical writing with experience in Software Platform or B2B SaaS companies.\n\n* 4+ years of experience working in ETL, data engineering, data prep, data analytics, or business analytics.\n\n* Proficiency in writing content in markdown version controlled in GitHub, and visuals in Figma. \n\n* Mastery in crafting compelling narratives about a product suite across formats such as user guides, product manuals, quick start guides, and video tutorials.\n\n* Basic code skills & experience working with SDKs, APIs, and CLIs.\n\n\n\n\nArticulation \n\n\n* Has an expert command of written English, pairing flawless grammar and syntax with strong editorial judgment to deliver clear, polished, and highly readable technical documentation.\n\n* Brings expert-level clarity to complex technical concepts, converting them into precise, approachable instructions that meets readers where they are.\n\n* Expertly tailors technical documentation for diverse audiences, adjusting depth, tone, and structure to maximize clarity.\n\n\n\n\nCollaboration Skills\n\n\n* Serves as a trusted documentation partner to product and engineering leaders, ensuring technical accuracy and strategic alignment across all customer-facing content.\n\n* Independently evaluates product behavior functionality through direct use to \n\n#Location\nSan Francisco
