We curate top LATAM talent and connect professionals with long-term, high-impact opportunities while providing full employer-of-record support.\n\n \n\nIn this role, you’ll join a team focused on modernizing CI/CD pipelines and building systems, helping transform legacy processes into fast, reliable, and automated delivery workflows.\n\n \n\nChallenge\n\n \n\nWe’re looking for a hands-on Senior Developer - Backend/Search - CD+E who genuinely enjoys untangling legacy build pipelines and turning them into clean, scalable, and automated systems.\n\n\n\nAs a senior developer, You'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our search infrastructure, handling technical escalations, and developing scalable search solutions for our video platform as well as developing and maintaining backend services, APIs and stored procedures.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe team:\n\nYou’ll be part of a team of talented engineers with a variety of areas of expertise, from frontend to backend to full-stack. The team’s experience level ranges from seasoned developers with years of experience to junior developers who are growing their roles and impact with your mentorship.\n\n\nMandatory Skills:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n* \n\n5+ years of backend development experience\n\n\n* \n\n3+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Solr, including:\n\n\n* \n\nSchema design and configuration\n\n\n* \n\nQuery optimization and performance tuning\n\n\n* \n\nIndexing strategies and data ingestion\n\n\n* \n\nFaceting, filtering, and search relevance\n\n\n* \n\nExperience with .NET/C# and SQL Server\n\n\n* \n\nStrong understanding of search algorithms, tokenization, and text analysis\n\n\n* \n\nExperience with RESTful API development\n\n\n* \n\nExcellent problem-solving and debugging skills\n\n\n* \n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNice to Have:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n* \n\nExperience with Elasticsearch, Lucene, or other search engines\n\n\n* \n\nKnowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred)\n\n\n* \n\nExperience with microservices architecture\n\n\n* \n\nUnderstanding of internationalization and multi-language search\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nTeam & Environment:\n\n- Distributed, international engineering team.\n\n- Strong ownership culture — engineers drive solutions end to end.\n\n- Focus on modernization, automation, and developer experience.\n\n- High autonomy to propose and implement improvements.\n\n- Collaborative environment with direct impact on engineering velocity.\n\n \n\n \n\nAbout Ubiminds\n\n \n\nOur Culture\n\nPeople First.
