About the role\nAs the Director of Engineering for Android Platforms, you will join an existing team that builds mobile, tablet, automotive, living room devices, and partner devices. You will bring hands-on experience to these platforms and work with our engineers to help foster a culture of excellence in operations, engineering, and delivery. You will lean on your engineering leadership experience to continue team development and collaboration.\n\nWe are considering applicants for the location(s) of Culver City, CA or US-Remote.\nAbout You\n\n\n\n* You have 10+ years of applicable engineering/development experience\n\n* You have 5+ years of leadership experience in a software engineering capacity\n\n* You have a high-level understanding of Android development technologies, frameworks and languages\n\n* You have demonstrated leadership in establishing code quality, software testing, and product reliability in Android development teams\n\n* You are familiar with modern Android development tools and practices\n\n* You have built and managed global and cohesive teams while recognizing and nurturing talent\n\n* You create an environment where engineers feel motivated and supported\n\n* You have demonstrated experience with:\n\n\n* Aligning Android development strategies with business goals\n\n* Creating development roadmaps\n\n* Implementing and overseeing testing processes, test automation, continuous integration and delivery\n\n\n\n\n\n* You have the following technology skills:\n\n\n* Languages: Kotlin, Java\n\n* Frameworks & Libraries: Experience with frameworks like Jetpack libraries\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Team\nThe Android development teams support millions of users across our mobile applications, tablet, automotive, and living room devices.
