Our offices around the U.S. are open and while most of our people work in a hybrid setting, we are a distributed workforce with a number of Knowners working remotely.\n\nBUT ENOUGH ABOUT US, LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU\n\nAbout the role:\n\nStudios within Known is looking for a Director of Post Production who will be focused on providing excellent service to the other departments for all post work related to creating commercials, promos, short form content, etc.\n\nThis position includes, but is not limited to, the scheduling of editorial projects, managing assistant editors and their assigned tasks, defining project workflow from acquisition to final delivery, and working with other departments to achieve their goals by providing timely, accurate and efficient internal and external post production services.\n\nWHAT YOUโLL DO\n\n\n* Schedule, onboard, and approve timesheets/invoices for editorial personnel\n\n* Locate and nurture editorial freelance talent in a variety of cities/time zones\n\n* Maintain knowledge of current post trends and technologies\n\n* Manage and facilitate training of the assistant editor team\n\n* Coordinate client asset acquisition\n\n* Define and manage post production workflows\n\n* Manage the company presentation, review, and approval media platform (Simian).\n\n* Hire and manage finishing vendors (audio mix, color correction, etc)\n\n* Oversee QC procedures and schedule client deliveries\n\n* Collaborate with Known IT to manage post production hardware, software, cloud, and remote access systems.\n\n* Procure stock assets for company-wide projects. Must be familiar with stock licensing terms\n\n* Coordinate exchange of materials with other departments\n\n* Manage editorial project, media, and archival storage systems\n\n* Provide expertise to other departments\n\n* Maintain effective communication with other departments\n\n* Communicate scheduling conflicts and solutions\n\n* Assist with internal marketing assets (company sizzle reels, social video content, etc.)\n\n\n\n\nWHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE\n\n\n* Bachelorโs degree or equivalent industry experience in entertainment, advertising or production company preferred\n\n* Advanced knowledge of video specifications, formats, and delivery platforms\n\n* Advanced knowledge of offline and online editing\n\n* Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, Avid Media Composer, and DaVinci Resolve\n\n* Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously\n\n* Ability to switch gears quickly and reprioritize projects on the fly to meet deadlines\n\n* Familiarity with production workflows (DIT processes)\n\n* Oversight and management of onsite editors as well as remote editors and their workflows \n\n* Strong work ethic, self-starter, takes initiative with a positive attitude and can collaborate with a team\n\n* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail is paramount\n\n* Excellent people and problem-solving skills.
