Remote Product Designer Creators
\nJoin the VRChat team!\n\n\nWe’re building the future of immersive, user-generated worlds, where anyone, anywhere, can connect, play, explore, and express themselves.\n\n\nWe’re looking for a Product Designer to join our Creators team and help define new content types for props in VRChat. You’ll partner closely with a design lead and cross-functional stakeholders to design the workflows, interfaces, and underlying systems that help us build, iterate, and ship high-quality props at scale. This role is anchored in Content/Props, with the potential to expand into broader creator tools over time as the team’s needs evolve.\n\n\nIf you’re energized by designing for makers, translating technical complexity into clear, approachable UX, and enabling a global community of artists and developers, this role is for you.\n\n\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n* Partner with your design lead, PMs, and engineers to design and improve props and content creation, including upload, management, publishing, and (where relevant) monetization.\n* Design intuitive interfaces that support creators with varying levels of technical expertise, from hobbyists to professional developers.\n* Translate technical concepts into approachable UX through thoughtful flows, clear visual hierarchy, and user-friendly microcopy.\n* Pair with the community and support teams to understand creator pain points and use those insights to improve tool usability and reduce friction.\n* Create wireframes, prototypes, and polished mockups across platforms (Desktop, VR, Mobile, Web).Run lightweight usability testing (concept checks, prototype tests) to validate designs early, identify friction, and iterate quickly.\n\n\n\nWho You Are\n* You have 3+ years of professional product design experience and have worked on shipping experiences, ideally for tools, platforms, or workflow-heavy products.\n* You have strong UX instincts and know how to simplify complexity without sacrificing capability or clarity.\n* You’re comfortable working in Figma and collaborating with engineering to bring your designs to life.\n* You think in flows and systems, understanding how tools fit into broader user lifecycles and full product ecosystems.\n* You’re familiar with Unity, our SDKs, Blender, or other dev tools.\n* You’re a proactive collaborator. You listen well, give clear feedback, and are energized by working closely with other teammates.\n* You care about empowering users, and you're motivated by building tools that support creativity, expression, and economic opportunity.\n\n\n\nBonus Points\n* Understanding of trust, safety, or moderation systems that support healthy online interactions.\n* Familiarity with social VR, presence-based UX, or designing for avatar-based expression.\n* Experience working on cross-platform design (desktop, mobile, VR headsets).\n* Passion for online communities, emergent social behavior, or the sociology of digital spaces.\n\n\n\nBenefits\n* Work from anywhere!
