\nThe Institute of Free Technology is a startup studio with several internal startups laying the foundations for a freer internet upon which communities can evolve into network states.\n\n \nThe team:\n\nIFT Investments protects & grows treasury assets across three strategies:\n\n\n* Short-term (<1 year): Global listed bonds (Govi’s, IG corporates) & crypto staking yield\n\n* Medium term (1-3 years): Liquid Crypto Token trading\n\n* Long-term (3+ years): Venture capital (crypto & related businesses)\n\n\n\n\nSuccessful candidates should demonstrate expertise in at least two of these investment verticals.\n\n \nKey Responsibilities:\n\nInvestment Analysis & Research\n\n\n* Conduct comprehensive market analysis across global macro and digital assets\n\n* Research macro trends, protocols, and emerging sector narratives\n\n* Identify and evaluate high-potential investment opportunities\n\n* Develop financial models and valuation frameworks\n\n* Create detailed investment memoranda for committee review\n\n\n\n\nPortfolio Management Support\n\n\n* Support trading & execution for approved strategies & deals\n\n* Monitor portfolio performance and risk metrics with monthly performance reports\n\n* Track investment objectives and rebalancing needs\n\n* Maintain detailed investment documentation\n\n\n\n\nStrategic Development\n\n\n* Build and maintain key industry relationships\n\n* Serve as subject matter expert on market trends\n\n* Support senior investment managers in strategy execution\n\n* Participate in investment committee discussions\n\n\n\n\n \nRequired Personal Skills:\n\n\n* Self-directed work ethic with strong initiative\n\n* Excellent written and verbal communication\n\n* Critical thinking and problem-solving ability\n\n* Attention to detail and organizational skills\n\n* Ability to work across time zones\n\n* Comfort with a highly unstructured environment, ambiguity and rapid change\n\n\n\n\n \nRequired Qualifications:\n\nEducation & Experience\n\n\n* Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Investments or related field\n\n* Preferred: Professional certification (FMVA, CA, CFA, MBA, CAIA etc)\n\n* Investment experience (VC, PE, IB, PWM, Crypto treasury, own capital etc)\n\n\n\n* Mid-level: 3-5 years\n\n* Senior-level: 5-7 years\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTechnical Expertise\n\n\n* Financial analysis skills\n\n* Hands-on crypto experience\n\n* Proven risk management capabilities\n\n* Strong security practices in digital asset handling\n\n* Deep understanding of blockchain technology\n\n\n\n\nProfessional Skills\n\n\n* Exceptional analytical and research abilities\n\n* Clear, structured communication and documentation\n\n* Strategic risk assessment and mitigation\n\n* Demonstrated alignment with our principles\n\n\n\n\n \nBonus points:\n\n\n* Prior roles in crypto organisations, treasury management\n\n* Personal crypto investing >3 years\n\n* Early-stage investing experience\n\n\n\n\n[Don't worry if you don't meet all of these criteria, we'd still love to hear from you anyway if you think you'd be a great fit for this role.
