We are seeking a Director of Business Development (FedCiv) to oversee the department and grow our Federal Civilian (i.e. non-DoD government) business sector. This person will play a pivotal role in shaping our overall business strategy, fostering innovation, and ensuring a consistent pipeline of revenue-generating projects.\n\n\nThis leadership position reports directly to the CSO and requires a strong background in business development within the Federal Civilian business sector, including agencies, departments, and key FedCiv agencies.\n\n\nWe are a small, fast-growing company and your work will have a direct impact on the success of our business and team members. Our team is fun, friendly, supportive, and the work is rewarding. \n\n\n\nAbout You\n* You have a successful track record in business development and can acquire Federal Civilian contracts.\n* You have extensive experience working within or for Federal Civilian agencies, with a deep understanding of the federal procurement process and contracting vehicles.\n* You possess exceptional networking skills and a high level of business, financial, and technical acumen.\n* You are knowledgeable of modern software development processes and understand user experience principles. \n* You want to collaborate on RFP responses and other contractual agreements.\n* You want to attend and network at professional events and meetings.\n* You stay abreast of FedCiv industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify potential opportunities and risks.\n* You have 9+ years of business development experience\n* Due to Rocket's work with local and federal government agencies US Citizenship is required- you must be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.\n\n\n\nBonus Points\n* You have 6+ years of business development experience related to key Federal Civilian agencies (e.g., HHS, VA, DHS, GSA).\n\n\n\n\n\n$125,000 - $193,000 a yearThe compensation package features an annual revenue bonus, contingent upon the company's financial success for the year.\nRocket Communications determines the salary range for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.\nFor new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth.
