\nWhat you’ll be responsible for:\n\nAs a Director, Data Engineering at Circle, you’ll work closely with Engineers productizing data solutions and scalable data pipelines that support these solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to significantly impact internal data consumption and decision making. You reject manipulation, dishonesty and intolerance.\n\n\n\n\nWhat you'll bring to Circle:\n\n\n* 10+ years of industry experience working with large datasets and modern data tools\n\n* 5+ years of experience with technical leadership and people management\n\n* Knowledge of a scientific computing language (Python) and Expert at SQL\n\n* Theoretical and applied expertise in database / data warehouse design\n\n* Hands-on experience with common software development flows and tools (Linux, git, AWS)\n\n* Experience designing and implementing complex modeling solutions from ideation to production at scale\n\n* Ability to understand complex business problems and break down analytics projects into a structured approach.\n\n* Track record of developing, managing and retaining data engineers. \n\n* Experience managing remote teams\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Information:\n\n\n* This position is eligible for day-one PERM sponsorship for qualified candidates.\n\n\n\n\nCircle is on a mission to create an inclusive financial future, with transparency at our core. We consider a wide variety of elements when crafting our compensation ranges and total compensation packages.\n\nStarting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.\n\nBase Pay Range: $227,500 - $292,500\n\nAnnual Bonus Target: 20%\n\nAlso Included: Equity & Benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)). Circle has a discretionary vacation policy. We also provide 10 days of paid sick leave per year and 11 paid holidays per year in the U.S.
