\nPlaid is seeking a Copywriting creative to join our Brand team. As a core member of our in-house creative agency, you will be responsible for brainstorming concepts with the design, product, and marketing teams and developing original web, digital, social, events, and integrated campaigns. We are looking for a strong communicator who can express ideas clearly not just on the page (or screen), but also in presentations, brainstorm sessions, and pitches. Here, you will be instrumental in both creating copy that drives action and emotion and developing how the Plaid story is told.\n\n\n\nResponsibilities \n* Partner with design, marketing, and product teams to create and execute distinct and engaging marketing copy that resonates with Plaidโs diverse audiences\n* Execute and support maintenance of Plaidโs brand voice guidelines across all brand touch points\n* Collaborate with designers and other copywriters to ensure the big, conceptual ideas behind the brand are engaging in both visuals and copy\n* Collaborate with the marketing team across a variety of channels to develop copy for email, social and display, events, video, web, sales collateral, and more\n* Identify gaps in our existing messaging and define ways to strengthen our brand and voice\n\n\n\nQualifications\n* 5+ years experience\n* Linked portfolio of past work and projects\n* Skilled storyteller and trend setter with an eye for detail and perfect grammar\n* Ability to adjust brand voice and tone based on audience\n* Experience writing display, social (organic and paid), email, event, and other digital performance marketing channels\n* Experience writing short- and long-form and conceptual campaigns\n* Experience with events and experiential marketing concept and campaign development\n* Ability to apply critical and conceptual thinking to brand and marketing strategies to develop standout creative and content experiences\n* Comfortable creating and iterating on copy that will be used in A/B product testing or performance based marketing tests\n* Experience creating content for social campaigns across all major social platforms\n* Experience working with agile teams, including quick adaptation and iteration\n* Experience collaborating with external creative agencies and freelancers\n\n\n\nPersonal Characteristics\n* Creative to the core\n* Passion about how art & copy work together\n* Critical, strategic thinker\n* Open minded and eager to push boundaries\n* Strong communicator\n* Team player\n* Collaborative\n\n\n\n\n\n$102,600 - $141,480 a yearTarget base salary for this role is between $102,600 and $141,480 per year. Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity and/or commission are dependent on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is based on factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location.
