\nAbout Brave\n\nBrave is on a mission to protect the human right to privacy online. Weโve built a free web browser that blocks creepy ads and trackers by default, a private search engine with a truly independent index, a private ad network (opt-in!) that directly rewards you for your attention, and a browser-native AI integration focused on keeping private data private. And weโre just getting started. Already 110 million people have switched to Brave for a faster, more private web. Millions more switch every month.\n\nThe internet is a sea of ads, hackers, and echo chambers. Big Tech makes huge profits off our data, and tells us whatโs true and whatโs not. Brave is fighting back. Join us!\n\nThe Browser AI team are building core browser features, and exploring new ideas about how the personal nature of the browser can help create the best AI experience for research and creative tasks. Brave allows the user to attach tabs, history, bookmarks and files to AI conversations. Brave also allows the user to experiment with AI joining in with its own web browsing. Weโre looking for a new team member capable of iterating these ideas and creating beautiful user experiences for these features. UI engineers will often work with other engineers to create the end-to-end features, or develop the skills necessary to implement the entire feature themselves.\n\nBrave has an exciting UI engineering culture. We share knowledge and patterns across both teams and disciplines, overlapping closely with designers. We work with internal design systems, multiple UI frameworks, and make effective decisions on these features as a team.\n\nThis role is at an exciting intersection between web UI, web browser internals, and AI possibilities.\n\nBrave is a start-up, and we have the ability to change plans quickly in response to new information or circumstances. This means that new needs can emerge on short notice, and projects are often re-mixed and adjusted in response to new input. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to influence those choices and other areas of the team.\n\nMany engineers in this role at Brave start from a frontend or full-stack background and grow into browser-level C++ feature work over time.\nResponsibilities will include:\n\n\n* Implementing browser-integrated Web UI (e.g. AI conversations, browser settings, new tab page) using Typescript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS with React as well as other frameworks such as Web Components, Svelte and Lit\n\n* Working with our product development team to collaborate on designs and specs and bring them to life on Brave's desktop and mobile browsers\n\n* Integrating with custom browser APIs using Chromium's communications frameworks.\n\n* Helping to customize the native UI provided by Chromium to add new product features and modify existing features. These UI elements include toolbars, modals, buttons, and more\n\n* Delivering code which is well tested with high confidence\n\n* Working alongside and learn from our experienced Chromium engineers - helping with peer reviews and helping improve our engineering processes\n\n\n\nRequired experience:\n\n\n* Strong skills building complex web apps with state management\n\n* Deep knowledge of a Javascript UI framework such as React, Svelte, Vue, or native Web Components\n\n* Proven expertise with CSS for building UI\n\n* Commitment to various UI accessibility and localization techniques\n\n* Understanding of performance impact and how both to measu \n\n#Location\nAnywhere
