This role partners closely with our Business Partnerships team, Legal, and business leaders to address employee relations matters, ensure adherence to employment laws and internal policies, and proactively mitigate risk. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, detail-oriented, and confident in navigating sensitive situations with discretion and sound judgment. This role will be remote-first but may beโฏrequiredโฏto travel to property locations as the needs of the business call for it. \n\n\n\nWhat Youโll Do \n* \n\n\nEmployee Relations \n* Serve as a primary point of contact for all Tier 4 employee relations cases. Tier 4 cases are defined as complex investigations that involve multiple parties and require neutral third-party execution. \n* Conduct impartial, thorough, and timely investigations into employee relations issues; document findings and recommend appropriate actions. \n* Advise managers and advisors on workplace policies and best practices.โฏ \n* Support Business Partnerships team with performance management processes, including scorecards, disciplinary actions, and terminations, ensuring consistency and compliance. \n\nCompliance & Risk Management \n* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., wage and hour, leave laws, harassment prevention). \n* Maintain and update employee handbook, policies, and procedures in alignment with legal requirements.โฏ \n* Partner with Legal, as needed, on compliance-related matters. \n* Support audits, reporting, and documentation related to employment compliance. \n* Track and stay current on changes in employment law; provide practical guidance for the organization on when changes are necessary. \n* Provide support in the administration of the companyโs leaves of absence and reasonable accommodations programs, working closely with our Payroll & Benefits Manager. \n\nTraining \n* Support or facilitate training programs related to employee relations, compliance, harassment prevention, and manager best practices. \n\n\n\nWhat It Takes \n* Bachelorโs degree in human resources, business administration,โฏor a related field,โฏorโฏequivalent work experienceโฏin lieu of a bachelorโs degreeโฏ \n* 3+โฏyearsโ experienceโฏin employee relations, HR compliance, or a related HR role \n* Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices \n* Proven experience conducting workplace investigations \n* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills \n* Demonstrated experienceโฏutilizingโฏdiscretionโฏandโฏmaintainingโฏconfidentialityโฏwhen handling sensitive situations and informationโฏ \n* The ability to exercise exceptional judgementโฏincluding escalating when appropriateโฏ \n* The ability to multi-task, organizeโฏand prioritize effectively in a high-growth, ever-changing environment \n* A championโฏofโฏour Community Normsโฏwhoโฏembodies themโฏconstantly.
