You'll have technical ownership of a functional area and manage a team of talented engineers. This is truly unique career opportunity for a technology leader who likes to invent as well as dive deep. The ideal hire is a hands-on team leader who has previous experience overseeing a broad range of platform integrations, improvements and some customer-facing features. Their SDMs operate at all levels of the technology stack, supporting a broad set of clients and collaborating with a wide range of internal and external service providers.\n \n Key Responsibilities:\n\n\n* Guide development teams and be responsible for overall systems development life cycle\n\n* Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed project plans and schedules\n\n* Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team by defining, implementing and maintaining a coherent, progressive development strategy for our product line\n\n* Manage process and quality of service improvements, planning, project management of software deliverables within the team, and management of resources across teams\n\n* Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology\n\n* Possess architectural depth to steer teams toward highly performing systems\n\n* Communicate effectively with your team and with stakeholders at all levels of the company\n\n* Create and execute appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management effort\n\n* Build an effective development organization by driving the recruiting and hiring of senior level engineers, developing and managing the group, and conducting performance reviews of team members\n\n* Delivery of quality applications on-time and on-budget\n\n\n\n\nQualifications:\n\n\n* BS in Computer Science or related discipline\n\n* 5+ years of software development experience in Java or C++ and object oriented design\n\n* Minimum of 3 years leading, mentoring, and developing a team of technical talent\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\n* Results oriented person with a delivery focus and demonstrated ability of achieving stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment\n\n* Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions and manage complex initiatives from conception to launch\n\n* Experience building and operating highly available, highly scalable, high-volume systems\n\n* Working experience with UNIX/Linux and service oriented architectures\n\n* Excellent verbal and written communication skills\n\n* Ability to work well with people and be both highly motivated and motivating\n\n* Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving abilities\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
