Join us at the forefront of cell therapy innovation and help redefine whatโs possible.\n \nTitle: Paralegal, Contract Management & Legal Operations\nReports to: Associate General Counsel\nLocation: Remote (West coast hours preferred)\n \nSummary\nThe Paralegal will provide a diverse range of legal and contract management support within the Legal Department, managing a high volume of documents, including end-to-end contract administration, ensuring contracts are accurately formatted, properly routed, and efficiently executed. This role will be responsible for tracking and organizing agreements, maintaining contract records, and supporting workflow optimization using tools such as SharePoint and Ironclad.\n \nThis is a highly detail-oriented role focused on process, coordination, and operational excellence, enabling timely contract execution across the organization.\n\n\n\n\n\nResponsibilities\n\nServe as the primary administrator for the Legal Department systems (e.g., document management, specifically IronClad, and the department Sharepoint pages)\n\nAct as a central point of coordination for contract-related inquiries and status updates\n\nMaintain a centralized contract tracking system (e.g., SharePoint, Ironclad, or CLM tool)\n\nOwn triage and assignment of legal matters as a bridge between business requesters and the Legal Department, including ensuring a clear understanding and training of the processes and procedures\n\nAssist with training internal stakeholders on contracting processes and tools\n\nManage the lifecycle of all contracts using CLM (IronClad) and assist with ongoing optimization\n\nCoordinate the intake, routing, and execution of contracts across internal stakeholders\n\nTrack contract status and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion\n\nReview contracts for formatting, completeness, and consistency with company templates\n\nEnsure proper use of templates, clause libraries, and version control\n\nIdentify and flag inconsistencies or missing information for attorney review\n\nMaintain high standards for document accuracy and professionalism\n\nRoute agreements for review and signature using e-signature platforms (e.g., Adobe Sign), ensuring all required approvals are obtained prior to execution\n\nEnsure all executed agreements are properly stored, indexed, and easily retrievable\n\nTrack key contract metadata, including effective dates, expiration/renewal dates, and contract owners\n\nGenerate reports and dashboards to provide visibility into contract status and obligations\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and standardize processes\n\nSupport implementation of contract templates, playbooks, and intake forms\n\nAssist with calendar and travel management, and submission of invoices and expenses\n\nPrepare and maintain department meeting agendas and minutes\n\nMonitor Legal Department performance based on articulated goals and provide data-driven insights to inform department decision-making\n\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelorโs degree required and/or Paralegal Certificate\n\n7+ years of experience as paralegal, contract administration, legal operations, or similar legal support role\n\nExperience working with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems, preferably Ironclad\n\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint for document management and tracking\n\nExperience with e-signature tools (e.g., Adobe Sign)\n\nBoth In-house and law firm paralegal experience highly desired\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with strong client focus\n\nExtremely strong attention to detail, particularly in document formatting and version control; must be able to perform final QC of documents\n\nHandles confidential matters with discretion and judgment.\n\nDemonstrate nimbleness with challenges and resilience with setbacks; embraces a growth mindset and welcomes opportunities to learn and take stretch assignments. \n\nHighly collaborative with excellent organizational and time management skills\n\nAbility to manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously, and multi-task across projects to prioritize and manage timelines effectively\n\nExperience in biotech, pharmaceutical, highly preferred\n\nAbility to sustain high levels of performance in a constantly changing environment\n\nFamiliarity with contract templates, clause libraries, and basic legal terminology\n\nExperience building or improving contract tracking systems or dashboards \n\nOther duties as assigned, including management of documents related to or arising from litigation or disputes, document collections responsive to risk management renewal efforts, projects related to document retention efforts, etc.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe national salary range for this position is $125K to $140K USD annually. This salary range is an estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, and the actual salary may vary based on factors including experience, education, geographic location, internal equity, and market data.
