So to make the best games, weโre building a studio that puts the team first โ one that's collaborative, anti-crunch, diverse, and inclusive.\n\n\nWeโd love for you to join us.\n\n\nTHE ROLE\n\n\nWeโre looking for a talented and passionate Level Designer; creating competitive multiplayer FPS levels that deliver outstanding team-centric player experiences for Spectre Divide. The ideal candidate will be responsible for prototyping and maintaining maps, addressing reported issues (bugs), and setting up all aspects of a map following team-established metrics and standards. Great-level designers transform rough block-outs into fully playable environments. Youโll play a crucial role in bringing our first title to life.\n\n\n\nYOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR\n* Designing competitive multiplayer FPS levels that deliver amazing team-centric player experiences\n* Following existing metrics and standards for maps, and helping create and maintain those standards\n* Maintaining existing maps, by investigating and responding to reported issues\n* Setting up all aspects of a map including spawn points, objective areas, boundaries, buy volumes, map objects, collision volumes, buy zone walls, nav mesh, etc.\n* Incorporating Duality thinking into map experiences and architecture\n* Developing compelling team combat areas through rapid gray box prototyping\n* Collaborating with art, engineering, and production to convert rough block-outs into awe-inspiring environments \n* Contributing to concept, direction, and gameplay designs for all Mountaintop projects\n* Working collaboratively with other disciplines to bring out the best ideas, translating them into compelling prototypes\n* Inventing, extending, and maintaining design processes, tools, and workflows\n* Contributing to a team culture that prides itself on excellence, innovation, trust, and respect\n\n\n\nABOUT YOU\n* A love for playing and making amazing games\n* One shipped game title or equivalent map experience\n* Experience creating maps for competitive FPS multiplayer games\n* Demonstrated ability to analyze and critique maps from a competitive shooter design perspective\n* Self-motivated and eager to contribute in many different areas of development\n* Excellent verbal and written communication skills\n\n\n\nPLUSES\n* Experience working with Unreal Engine 4 or 5\n* Familiarity with all aspects of FPS map creation in a production environment\n* Passion for competitive first-person shooter genre \n* Deep familiarity with existing tac-shooter Maps (e.g. CS, Valorant, R6, etc)\n* Experience with Source engine\n\n\n\n\n\n$60,000 - $70,000 a yearThe estimated salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 USD\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
