In addition to performing comprehensive analysis, we will continuously improve the underlying models and analytical frameworks – leveraging cutting edge technology and data science methods to maximize signal extraction from our rapidly growing data. \nAs a member of the Actuarial & Product Analysis team within Insurance Product Research, you will be supported by data scientists and actuarial engineers. \nJob Details \n\nWe are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to assist in both new product development and profitability review of current product offerings. The role is designed to leverage the latest technologies to help automate and expand our profitability and pricing management function. This role requires a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can efficiently function in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities \n\n\n* Drive state expansion by assisting in developing rating models, developing other customer-facing models, and supporting DOI inquiries\n\n* Develop and expand product analytics capabilities to enrich understanding of Product Profitability. Operationalize insights.\n\n* Assist in producing formal actuarial deliverables as needed (rate indications, amendments to rating plan, reinsurance analysis, loss modeling, etc.)\n\n* Design and enhance analytical frameworks and capabilities, in partnership with our Senior Research Actuary \n\n* Develop efficient processes that support the integration of our analytical frameworks/capabilities into our day-to-day operations. Outputs include descriptive reporting, anomaly detection, diagnostic tools, modeled forecasting, and accuracy monitoring.\n\n* Continuously test and adopt newly available tools/capabilities to improve the scale and rigor of our actuarial capabilities\n\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n* 2-4 years of experience in insurance pricing, preferably with experience in personal lines insurance pricing\n\n* Progress made towards ACAS/FCAS designations (preferably 3+ exams)\n\n* Strong technical (SQL) and analytical skills, capable of developing quantitative analyses through data manipulation, often operating in ambiguity and leveraging creativity\n\n* Python familiarity or interest to learn\n\n* Strong communication skills\n\n* Homeowners and/or Auto insurance experience is a plus.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
