\nAbout the Role \n\n\nAs an engineer in Automation Engineering platform you will be responsible to lead and implement the test strategy for automation by working closely with the product engineering group, design and develop tools and frameworks that help smoother development and testing process. You will also work on the latest cutting-edge internet/software technology.\n\n\n\nWhat You Will Do \n* Create from scratch or significantly Improve automation code structure and framework architecture in terms of maintainability, execution speed, review, and coverage\n* Writes, co-writes, and reviews test design/plan documentation \n* Drives the design/code review process for test automation, seeking and providing constructive feedback\n* Accountable for ensuring that their squad has strong sets of documentation and journals of how their test design and architecture/product evolves over time\n* Lead the effort of planning projects, split the complex initiatives into smaller tasks in both team and cross-team initiatives\n* Mentors other engineers on an individual basis and guide them with their career development\n* Actively participates in the hiring process for SDET candidates (by doing code reviews, meeting candidates, attending recruiting events)\n\n\n\nWhat You Will Need\n* Experience in working with Web, Mobile, and API Testing in both manual & automation testing, test methodologies, and principles\n* Well-versed with a programming language (preferably JAVA). Should be comfortable working on any of these Selenium, Cucumber BDD, Appium, RestAssured, SQL, TestNG, CI/CD pipelines, Postman , Mocking tools Experienced with tools such as Git, Jira , Maven/ Gradle & Test case management tool \n* Solid analytical & problem-solving skills and experience of working in an Agile environment\n* Great interpersonal and communication skills as needs to closely work with remote teams spread across multiple countries Understanding of working and Testing in a microservices environment \n* Knowledge of Performance Testing is a plus\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Team \n\n\nThe Automation Engineering Platform is a team that is responsible for creating tools, frameworks, and processes for Quality Assurance (QA) teams within GoTo.
