First, a bit about myself. My name is Elke, and I am a social worker turned junior full-stack Web Developer who loves putting her head down with a group of like-minded people to make something bigger than the sum of our parts. I graduated from BrainStation amongst the top of my cohorts at the end of January and feel like I am a natural for this - something that would have been handy to find out before I was 37, but here we are!
I am proficient across the stack but find myself drawn more to the front-end, specifically reactive frameworks and tricky UX/UI problems. I’m a team player who’s more than capable of being given a task and running with it alone when necessary, or being brought in to assist someone else on a critical feature at any stage of development. Easy to teach, and love mentoring and passing on knowledge to people after I’ve absorbed it.
About you: I am looking for a position that would be happy to take a motivated, bright junior dev and nurture the hunger for learning and finding solutions to difficult problems that I have, and help further my career in a positive direction.
