PROFILE SUMMARY
Christo grew up in the Northwest Province. After completion of his tertiary education, he joined Anglo Gold in the Human Resources Department and worked as a generalist doing a broad spectrum of HR functions.
He then joined Transnet Corporate HR in Johannesburg and specialised in the recruitment and selection of staff. He was promoted to SA Airways as HR Manager responsible for Executive deployment as well as pilot and cabin crew interventions. Christo had assignments in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan.
Christo was approached by Maccauvlei to assist Anglo and external clients with a broad range of people and business needs. Since returning to Maccauvlei in 2013, he managed the Management and Leadership Practice; Business development for example entering into partnerships with other training and consulting companies; and exploring the value that digital learning can add to the Maccauvlei portfolio, amongst other things. He also assisted Anglo head office clients in London with Team development interventions. He also lectured a Leadership and Change programme at Ashridge-Hull business school (outside London).
Christo was appointed as Acting General Manager overseeing the Maccauvlei business as a whole.
Christo left Maccauvleiโs employment at the end of 2020 and joined forces with Signify Software to start the Signify Learning Academy. The academy will offer accredited MICT, ETDP and Services Seta training programmes as well as Psychometric testing and Competency-based Assessment Centre services. Christo is currently an independent Management Consultant, Facilitator and Coach.
He has several years of change management experience in the non-technical side of business. Christo also assisted several clients with organisational development interventions and is accredited as a Reddin MES facilitator. Christo is also registered as a CPA and IRIS practitioner by BIOSS in the UK, as a user of basic and advanced Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Saville Wave assessment tools and as a job profiler with SHL in South Africa. He is also a member of SA Type Users and a member of BIOSS.
Christo has worked with a variety of corporate companies in Southern Africa; in many different industries; and across levels for the last 35 years.
