Hi, my name is Charlie. Before pivoting into software engineering, I worked as a program manager at a start-up that provided forecasting software for a government research project. In this role, I began teaching myself Javascript to help automate some of the repetitive tasks that were a part of my daily workflow.
I quickly fell in love with the ability to solve problems with code instead of clicks, and I decided that I wanted to move into software engineering full-time. I began to study forโand was eventually accepted intoโan advanced software engineering immersive called Hack Reactor. Throughout this intense learning experience, I further honed my software engineering skills through team-based project work that covered both front-end and back-end implementations.
I'm looking forward to applying the skills I have gained in my next role!
